Introduction Top

Hello there and welcome to my guide on how to climb to hotness or higher with ease!
My name is SinisterDeath and I am a former SA roam player who is just climbing her way up again. We've all been there where we just couldn't get to a higher rank because of (put whatever reason you may think of here)! And well, I'm here to help! Just keep reading and enjoy! :)

Dedication Top

BE DEDICATED TO THE GAME!
You maybe noticed already in your daily life, (eg. school or work) if you have a fun time doing something, it is very easy to do it or it's just more enjoyable and you want to spend time on it!
And yeah, you guessed it right. The same goes for Vainglory.
The problem with this "tip" is, that you can't control your dedication to the game. However, you can influence it a little bit by watching videos or streams from pros or just funny Vainglory compilations.
Get excited about the game!

Goals Top

Set yourself realistic and accomplishable goals. If you have clear goals, it's easier and more exciting to grind some elo. If you reach your goal, you will be proud of yourself and you can be!. Reward yourself after you completed your goal. E.g. have a fun time playing some matches of battle royale or some casual matches with your non-competetive friends. It's so much more fun to rank up if you're getting some rest by playing casual matches.

Mentality Top

Whatever your mentality is right now, you can improve it! Wether it's that you are blaming your losses on your team, because one of your mates was AFK, or it's that you are blaming youself (yeah such people exist, but are very rare!) for all of your overall TEAMS (including you) mistakes. Just think rational and don't let your emotions take over you. It's hard to learn, but once you got the right mindset, it will become a lot more easy to come over a loss or an uncoordinated team.

Take breaks! Top

This is so important. TAKE BREAKS after you lost a few games in a row. If you believe it or not, it will have an impact on how you play. Your mindset will passively become more negative, and you stress out about the slightest mistakes, even if it's not a big thing. Just make a short 30 minute to 1 hour break and continue playing after with a fresh mind.

Main one role and play the other two to an OK level Top

It's important to be a bit flexible, excpecially in soloq. We all had that teammate that just instalocked a hero, and we were left to play a role what we were not very familiar with. Just try getting the role you want by communicating through the tabs in heroselect and maybe switch to an alternative if your teammates really don't wanna play the letftover roles. It's also necessary to learn a CP and WP hero for each carry role to adjust to your team.

Analyze your mistakes Top

After you died, try to review the cause of it. Was it you overextending or overstaying, or was it to sacrifice yourself for a teammate or the overall fight? What could you have done to prevent it? What did your team get out of your death? What did the enemy team get? Ask youself these questions, and evaluate wheter your death was worth or not.

Never give up! Top

This is my last point. Never give up! Soloq sometimes feels a little grindy. You win and you loose. You feel like you've gained nothing. But you're wrong. You gained knowledge and overall experience of the game and it's mechanics. Every game, win or loss, is worth it's time. You learn from experience. And if you actually learn the game and improve yourself, then you will get to a higher rank automatically.
So remember:
- Be dedicated
- Set youself realistic and accomplishable goals
- Have a positive mindset
- Take frequent breaks
- Main a role and play the other ones to an OK level
- Analyze and learn from your mistakes
And most importantly:
- HAVE FUN!

Final words Top

Thank you for spending your precious time reading my guide! I hope I could help you on your jouney to becoming a better player and climbing up those sweet ranks!
Leave suggestions for future guides in the comment section if you like. I will be soon uploading a basic roam guide in english, so stay tuned for that!

Cya on the Halcyon!
