Hi Laners,

Squishy jungle player here. I was reading some strategy advice that said if the lane player is going well then junglers should let the enemy take the crystal mines so that the laner can earn extra money from the pumped up minions...

So. Do you want me to take the mines or not?

Alright. I've played lane for a while to get my own answer. My answer is YES. Take the crystal mines all you want. The more you dominate the jungle the better :)

It seemed like a good idea to feed the laner beefy minions but actually the laner is busy chipping away at the enemy heroes and working on turrets.

What I did learn through is how cool it was whenever a jungle player popped up to help. Suddenly killing a couple of enemy gives the lane such a boost.

I would say yes atleast for the first time. Just because it gives you exp, gold, line of sight and if you're in a pinch a helping hand. Then it's a situational thing. But most times if you dont someone else on your team will. Just depends who you want to be more fed.

Take them, come and help in the lane and we can all push for a win.

Because it allows you to kill the enemy tower quicker and give your entire team gold, while if they have both mines you can't leave lane for gold mine or anything without losing your own tower.
And if you're able to get the gold mine as well as an enemy tower you've basically won the game.

you should take them, the stronger your minions are, the closer they get to enemy turrets. If your enemy minions get close to your turrets, your lane hero will have a hard time last hitting the minions.

I would always take the crystal mines unless you have a way of communicating with your teammates so you're on the same page, or you can do something else more useful.

I would say take them if your jungle is clear, the front two minion spots closest to the center line is clear. Then look at lane... If lane is getting pushed, pop up behind for an easy kill assuming your adc is decent and recognizes the ambush. Finally take that minion mine and wait in the bush with your other jungler for a possible additional kill if the enemy runs only one jungler to take back the mine.

Getting a kill in an adc greater than taking the mine because it allows your adc to farm trouble free and it stunts the opponent adc.
