Fortress Update (1.5): Attack of the Pack!

Update 1.5.0 introduces an incredible new hero, Fortress, & two new items, adds more cards & skins, improves the early-player experience and brings much-desired balance changes. Have fun diving into all this!


This Halcyon Well guardian is a snarling, frightening sight in the jungle. He stalks prey, closes in with teammates, flanks targets and creates challenging, multi-front confrontations. Stay near your allies and bite and claw your way to kills.

Read the lore:

Fortress will be unlockable with ICE only for the first 7 days. Afterward, you will be able to unlock Fortress with ICE or Glory.


Slot: Heroic Perk

When Fortress is near an allied hero, he will move faster after 1s. He will maintain this move-speed bonus so long as he's alongside any allied hero.

Truth of the Tooth
Slot: A

Fortress lunges at his target and marks it, granting allied heroes increased move speed and lifesteal towards his target.

Law of the Claw
Slot: B

Fortress claws his target, causing it to bleed for several seconds.
  • After receiving 6 basic attacks from Fortress and his allies, the target is dealt a burst of damage based on its maax health and receives mortal wound (reduced healing).
  • Overdrive: At max rank, the burst of damage additionally slows the target by 40%.
  • Bleeding damage per second: 10 (+15% crystal power)

Attack of the Pack
Slot: C

Fortress summons a pack of wolves. Each pack wolf seeks out a different enemy hero.
  • It takes three separate attacks to kill a pack wolf.
  • Wolves apply bleeding with their basic attacks.
  • Wolves take normal damage from abilities and are granted 20% of Fortress' bonus defensive stats.
  • Fortress gains fortified health and attack speed when the wolves are summoned.
  • Wolves take damage equal to 75% of their max health from turrets.

+40% Cooldown Speed
+2 Energy Recharge

Activate: Target yourself to place a Scout Trap. Target the ground farther away to fire a Flare. 5s cooldown. 3 charges max. 20s per charge.

Tip: A great way to save inventory space while still being able to control vision around the map.

Flare Gun
+250 Max Health

Activate: Fire a flare. 5s cooldown. 2 charges max. 20s per charge.

Tip: Use this to avoid being ambushed, especially in the late game.
+150 Max Health
+15% Cooldown Reduction
+0.75 Energy Recharge

Tip: Cooldown speed increases the speed at which your abilities come off the timer.
+7.5% Cooldown Reduction
+0.25 Energy Recharge

Tip: Cooldown reduction the time it takes for your abilities to come off the cooldown timer.

Minion's Foot | Category: Weapon | Tier: 1 | Cost: 300

+10% Critical Chance
+5% Critical Damage

Passive: After buying this item, your very first attack on an enemy hero will crit.

Tip: You can sell and re-buy this item to refresh the passive.

This update came out insanely fast! good work SEMC on shutting down tank skaarf! Also new hero adds more diversity to the Fold.

Devs can you make it so that truth of the tooth prioritises enemy Heros and not enemy minions

I think it's like that so you can retreat as well, try using it to escape battles.
