Lorelai's perk empowers her when shes stands over water. That's why you start with B ability first: to creat water and be able to deal more damage to minions or enemies on the lane.
She also benefit from crystal power and health bonus. That's why there are a
Crucible and
War Treads.
Be sure to have energy:
Eve of Harvest is a great item to ensure that.
Last, but not least, you want to keep your enemies surrounded by water, or standing on piranhas pool. For that, use
Frostburn to slow them further (bonus for water pool, for health bonus, for frostburn).
