Threat Hero Notes
1
  No Threat
2
Joule Many players do not favour Joule along with Skaarf. But if you do come face-to-face she still remains little threat because of her low weapon damage.
3
Koshka With Koshka's burst speed and crystal damage during the early game, it does do abit of damage however your Stormguard should counteract this. Remember Koshka can level up rather quickly when she's in the jungle, so when she casually decides to pop into the lane to have a look around, you may not yet have your shield.
3
Ringo You have a better change killing Ringo than him killing you in the early stages of the game. Once you have maxed out Catherine and followed this guide, Ringo will not be able to kill you.
4
Taka You won't see much of Taka in the lane during the early game. He will be too busy in the jungle trying to reach Level 6. By the time he joins the lane you should be at Level 6 also and with the right use of your Stormguard and Merciless Pursuit you can escape the area taking medium damage.
5
SAW SAW and Petal are roughly a equal threat to Catherine but I have rated SAW threat level of 5 because when he loses his Heroic Perk Spin Up his threat drops. You should always stun SAW first when Group to Group attacking.
5
Catherine I hate it when you face the same hero as yourself! But as you have read the title 'Ultimate Gurdian', your Catherine should withstand the enemy Catherine! :)
6
  No Threat
7
Petal Petal is mainly a threat when she has spawned her minions and taking into account that she has reached Level 6. Also when she's paired up with SAW in the lane, your health bar will drop considerably. However at the early stages of the game, Petal remains a minimal threat.
7
Krul If you are group attacked along with Krul, you should seek and escape route QUICK! However Krul's threat level decreases once you reach level 12 and with most of the power ups in this guide.
7
Adagio Adagio will exhaust you at the beginning of game, it should be your first priority to buy Eve of Harvest.
8
  No Threat
9
Skaarf At the early stage of the game when Catherine is most vulnerable, facing Skaarf will be challenging because of Skaarf's Heroic Perk Fan The Flames with Spitfire. Skaarf is specialy a big threat when he's in lane with either Adagio or SAW.

Your Role with Catherine Top

This build truly focuses on protecting your allies with your tanky build. I must say to you that you will not get a bunch of kills but however you will lead your team to a glorifying victory. As Catherine's role is a protector, once you reach level 12 and have equipped the items on the list, the enemy will not be able to break you. You will play as the first line of defence for your team... ALONE! You will absorb your enemies damage and draw all the attention to yourself meaning you will be jumping into action when ever you feel set.

Most importantly remember to use your Merciless Pursuit & Blast Tremor on enemy heroes at every chance you get to stack up you heroic perk Panzer Faust.

Quick guide for this build Top

For this build, you should buy the items in order. So I would recommend purchasing the items from Left to Right.
1st - Eve of Harvest
2nd - Crucible
3rd - Aegis
4th - Metal Jacket
5th - Eve of Harvest
6th - Crucible

Modifications:

1.Although sometime there are some modifications necessary, for example if you were to go lane with any ranger hero you should purchase Ironguard Contract at the very beginning of the game so you are still able to farm gold.

2. As for your 6th item, instead of purchasing Crucible you may purchase Fountain of Renewal to heal your allies during mid combat. With this extra health kick to your allies your team may stand their ground and carry fighting back.
