Catherine As with any bursty hero, do not attack her with her shield on. Especially with Roadie Run's shank, which will hard proc the damage reflect.

Intro Top

I saw this build while watching the developer evilAndre (ubelandre?) playing on the Official Vainglory Stream.

Strengths:
Insane Burst
High Mobility
Low Cooldowns
Vulnerable to Reflex Block (?)

Weaknesses:
Low Sustain/Weak auto-attacks
Low Defense/Squishy

Summary Top

This crystal build revolves around SAW's Roadie Run both for insane burst damage and high mobility. With Aftershock's bonus slice damage and an ability execute bonus (missing health boost), Roadie Run turns SAW into an executioner, literally destroying surprised enemies at 65% health. Cooldown acceleration from Aftershock and Warhorn allow SAW to escape dangerous situations with the jump back or sprint run. While most builds focus on SAW's passive and auto-attacks, they are somewhat unfavorable since this SAW's deadliness is reliant on being in range. Instead of using auto-attacks, rely on Mad Cannon as your main source of firepower before using Roadie Run or Suppressing Fire as a finisher. Avoid using Suppressing Fire as an initiator or main source of damage but for finishing escaping enemies and backing allies in the fray from max distance. While this was considered a "troll" and unorthodox build, it is actually quite good because of the sheer damage from Roadie Run, allowing you to effectively shank careless enemies to death.

The Build Top

Aftershock - slice damage (percent health based) proc-ing on Roadie Run makes this the core item of this build. Play SAW conservatively until this item since Roadie Run will only be effective on near death enemies until then. Rush this item immediately after Boots if possible and build it through Chronograph instead of Eclipse Prism.

Warhorn - allows crystal SAW to properly farm the lane and last hit minions with additional cooldown acceleration. Build this through Stormguard Banner early on.

Broken Myth - mostly an endgame item which provides a greater damage boost vs. Shatterglass when against shield. However, this is an amazing playmaker; when SAW is at 50% or lower, it will allow him to destroy enemies with Roadie Run. It is advisable to keep this as Piercing Shard before a Heavy Prism, which will allow you to make the most of your damage.

Frostburn - especially after its nerfed slow, this item is only for the energy sustain. Without it, cooldown acceleration would be useless since energy can be easily depleted on Crystal SAW.

Other Notes Top

Frostburn is mostly about Void Battery and not about its slow, since SAW won't exactly be an upfront melee chaser. It can be replaced with Eve of Harvest, but be wary that this will effectively counteract Broken Myth's effect over multiple enemies.

Broken Myth is highly situational and will only be effective when the enemy builds shield to counter your terrifying shanks, although you should still build one after Shatterglass since it should be more effective than stacking 2 Shatterglasses. You can keep 2 Piercing Shard's at the same time for more reliance on shield pierce stats over a riskier playstyle.

Be aware of reliable stuns and blocks which could hard counter a SAW in the middle of his Roadie Run.

Crystal SAW's auto-attacks are still respectable, especially early on when SAW's abilities are on longer cooldown. Be wary of other SAW's who outdamage you in the early game due to early damage items. This build is farm reliant early on and has great late game.

Hope you liked this build, and thanks for reading! This is a build by evilAndre, a Vainglory dev.
