It's essential to get sprint boots first to compensate for Petal's lack of mobility. Beyond that, the basic idea is to emphasize Petal's ranged basic attack with added damage and speed. I like to max out the bramblethorn seeds to give Petal a healing base from which to attack. I also max out spontaneous combustion instead of yay, pets! to add some quick massive damage.
This de-emphasizes the munions as an offensive weapon and puts the focus on Petal. The munions become more like grenades and Petal can sit back in her bunker of seeds and fire away. Reflex block is useful against massive incoming damage and void battery is good for energy. I also like the journey boots for all around defensive and evasion.
