However, that assumes that you can keep attacking the enemy for long enough that the attack speed applies. This is such a big deal that in LoL (which item-wise is pretty similar) critical chance costs almost twice as much as attack speed.
Without other attack speed and crit items it gives double DPS. It gives even more DPS the more critical chance you have. Generally speaking you should only even consider getting Tyrant's Monacle instead if you have two of these.
