Petal is a super long range sniper/mage and to add to that she can summon three cute but deadly 'pets/munions' to fight for her.
Her Heroic Perk lets her control three pets, which is sprouted from seeds (her A ability). Additionally,her basic attacks marks enemy heroes with 'sunlight' and if her pets attacks the mark target Petal gets 10-40% attack speed (lv.1-12) for 1.5 secs and the sunlight is consume, so this is why alternating current is very good with Petal.
Ability A: Brambleboom Seeds
Petal plats a seed in front of her giving a small area of vision for 20 secs. if enemy heroes step on the seeds they will take damage (which scales with crystal power)and will be knocked back. her pet also sprout from these seeds with a maximum of three pets.Notice that Petal has no mana, its cause she holds charges rather than mana,which charges faster the more charges she has available. Pets basic attacks also scales with crystal power
Ability B: Trampoline
Activate when standing on a seed to jump in the direction that Petal is facing and will increase Petal's weapon and crystal power for four secs
Ability C: Spontaneous Combustion
Well basically Petal is now a terrorist cause now she commands her pets to self-detonate for the sake of the Earth,but each pets explodes and does area of damage,heals Petal and her allies( Her heal scales with crystal power too.
TIPS AND TRICKS Top
First tip: always plants seeds if your charges are full even if you don't need to cause it provide vision and may save your life by being able to Trampoline! if you get ambushed suddenly.
Second tip: if you're being chased or chasing someone, you can catch up or run away from them if you plant seeds and Trampoline to catch them or vice versa.
Third tip: plant seeds when runnimg away from the enemy cause the seeds will knock them back and does damage, so maybe you can kept them with you're pets and turn things around.

If you have a glaive,ardan or anyone with super high health as a enemy, try building aftershock to counter their high health
If there is a mobile hero like skye or blackfeather against you, try building shiversteel to slow them down so you can take them down.
As i have already told you alternating current is good cause of her perk and she builds lots of crystal power and its adds more attack speed.
Frostburn is super good cause since her pets does crystal damage, it also slow the enemy while you mow them down like weeds.
Lastly but not the least is always remember to buy infusions.
