Ringo - The Only True Sniper Top

No other character can claim the title of sniper as long as Ringo is around. His abilities allow him to be sooooo deadly that he can hold the lane against the entire enemy team (if he is near a turret that is). A lot of Ringos go for weapon power, which is fine, but his real power is in his burst damage. "Stick & Move" is his motto. Very hard to escape a Ringo chasing you and impossible to out run his ultimate. Run & Gun with gusto!

Why a crystal build over a weapon build? A weapon build is great if you never get targeted by the enemy or have plenty of time to attack them. In my experience, Ringo doesn't get much time before an enemy is running away or chasing after you. This is why crystal power owns weapon power. Fast, hard hitting from a distance. Ringos Twirling Silver adds 70% of your CP per shot! Not to mention Achilles Shot grants an extra 110% CP damage to the 380 (at max) damage. Hellfire Brew at max delivers 480 TRUE damage + 80% CP damage with a 7 second burn doing 90 damage + 20% CP damage per second. Knowing how much crystal power adds to his skills, not going crystal power would be a waste of his potential.

I have seen other CP build Ringo guides but this is how I build it that works for me all the time. If there is another guide with this same build, I have no knowledge of it and apologize if I am stepping on your toes.

Ringo Crystal Build: Basic Stratedgy Top

Run & Gun, Stick & Move, Poke & Prod~ Be light on your feet, stay out of range of enemys and only advance on an enemy to use your Achilles Shot. Use your Hellfire Brew as much as possible. Even if the enemy has full health, a quick Achilles Shot followed by chasing them down with Twirling Silver will kill just about any enemy. Hellfire Brew has amazing range. I like to hide in bushes or at the edge of their vision and pop one out. I immediately fire Achilles Shot then Twirling Silver to finish them. 99% of the time this will kill any enemy that has full health. Reason for this is that your crystal power is so high, nothing can survive this combo.

Stay in the lane but later in the game you are perfectly capable of roaming anywhere since you have so much running speed (boots + Twirling Silver). As always, no matter where on the map you are, stay cautious of hiding enemies. If you get stunned or slowed it could be the end of you. This build is not defensive but the deadliest offense out of any character I have seen.

Starting Out: What to do in any situation Top

Starting items and game play will depend on your team and the enemy team:

YOUR TEAM
Another Laner & Jungler

ENEMY TEAM
2 Laners & Jungler

I never like sharing the lane but sometimes that's how it goes. Ringo doesn't have an AOE or group skill so any other laner you will assist and take some last hits. First items should be Ironguard Contract to get gold you will miss out on sharing the lane. Take a scout trap and 2 potions. Buy them quick, select Twirling Silver as your first skill and use it right away. It will run out and be usable again before you get to the middle of the lane. Use it a 2nd time to beat the enemy to the lower bushes at the middle lane. Place your scout trap at the edge of the enemys bush so you can see any gankers before they get to close to you. Start picking off minions & hitting enemy laners with your Achilles Shot. You will need to assist your jungler because other laners are to slow to properly help out.

YOUR TEAM
Jungler & Roamer/Jungler

ENEMY TEAM
2 Laners & Jungler

Lets assume your roamer never "roams" into the lane leaving you by yourself vs 2 enemy laners. Not a problem! Focus on killing minions and guarding your turret. Let them have the middle of the lane. Once they get near your turret they will have to fall back or die. You will level faster then either of them since all the minions are yours and the have to share the kills. Chip away at them when you can and by the time you hit level 6 to unlock Hellfire Brew you can start advancing. Spam your skills and move back. You will be capable of killing both laners alone once you have some tier 3 items.

YOUR TEAM
Jungler & Roamer/Jungler

ENEMY TEAM
Laner & 2 Jungler/Roamer

No contest unless their Roamer & Jungler (3 vs 1) are always in the lane helping. You will want at least one of your team mates to help out. A majority of the time this will not happen since none of them are getting decent gold or xp. They only reason for them to be in the lane is to kill you. Don't let them. Always hug your turret if you feel threatened. Eventually you will win. 1 vs 1 in the lane always poses the threat of being ganked by 2 junglers so scout trap those bushes and gain some peace of mind.

If there is a weird set up, like 3 enemy junglers or laners then they probably won't win because of limited gold and xp so no sweat. Stay alert, always stick near a turret or allie and Stick & Move.

First Turret Down Stratedgy Top

You have heard me say "guard your turret". Well, yes do that but once you have taken out their 1st turret, your turret is a lot further away from their 2nd turret. This will leave you vulnerable being so far from the safety of your turret. What I like to do after I take out their 1st turret is go assist the jungle. See if you can help take the gold mine or minion mine. Just stay near your allies. Once you have a strong foothold in the jungle, ping your allies towards their 2nd turret in hopes they assist you. You can even push the lane solo some more if your team has killed an enemy or 2 in the jungle. This will help you from not getting ganked.

Now, if the enemy is on a rampage and takes out your turret first, stay in the lane and guard the 2nd. If they managed to push the lane that far then they will try and keep going. Don't let them. Ping your allies to help if it gets bad. I will go as far as the middle lane but not to far from the safety of your turret. Same plan, assist the jungle until you can get help in the lane. If you see the enemy minions past the middle of the lane then go back to push them back.

The only way to win is to destroy their vain crystal so turrets are more important then minion mines & the gold mine by far. If you are owning minions and the enemy has both minion mines, why bother to take a minion mine? You get more gold and xp from killing stronger minions. If you are owning minions why bother with the gold mine? Destroying a turret is the same amount you get from taking a FULL gold mine. Why bother if you are owning the lane? You don't. Don't fix what isn't broken. I only assist in taking mines if its to easy to pass up or I'm afraid of advancing to much solo.
