Threat Hero Notes
1
Krul Easily kiteable. If he Shiversteel's you, Trampoline away from him, then follow up with your own Shiversteel to remain as far away from him as possible. If he manages to catch up again, your Trampoline should be back and you should be able to repeat the process. In a matter of seconds, you would have built up an immense amount of BP stacks to 1v1 him regardless of his abilities.

3
Glaive Probably the easiest to kite out of the roster, but don't underestimate him. If his team is smart he won't stray from his team. He'll just wait to regroup, then Afterburn you into a mess. If he does none of this, GG.

  No Threat
5
Fortress A pest to say at the least, if combined with a Taka or Koshka, you're most likely never going to get away. His abilities assure lockdown combined with heroes I've mentioned, and doesn't fail to do a sublime amount of damage. If you're lucky, they'll spam all abilities on you and you'll be able to trampoline to the nearest ally and hope that they'll save you. If Fortress just by himself, or has a weak gap-closing team, all you have to do is out-play him.
6
Adagio Adagio's range matches yours, so be savvy enough to know that you will probably get out-poked by him because of his B Ability. Nevertheless, he becomes a little easier to handle late game when you can build up BP stacks on him and Trampoline out of his Ultimate.
6
Rona Her A and B ability combo is slightly annoying if the player using her knows you as well. She will likely B Ability you, then hesitate to activate it again in order to prevent you from straying away, then A Ability you to prevent an easy escape. Your best bet is to Trampoline out of danger from the combo, after that she's pretty much useless.

Koshka A little like Taka, but not as deadly since you always have an eye on her. An easy Shiversteel rush should solve any problem you have with her, as long as she's not over-fed.
10
Taka Taka is an easy gap closer which is a huge threat to Petal who relies on the outline of the battle. If you find yourself up against him, I pray you have an Ardan. Also, it would be a bit wiser to finish the Shiversteel first instead of Breaking Point to ease out his keep-up.

Early Game Strategy Top

Start off with your backs doing the feed method that the 1.10 META offers (Have you hit the Health Minion while support preps the expensive ones). After you're done with your first wave of farm, purchase another swift shooter from the jungle shop. Invading might be a good idea, but it varies between team comps. Always keep an eye on if the lander is missing or not, or if your support is willing to follow up. If the enemy team did not take the front 2 minions, feel free to steal them, but don't engage in a fight unless you are certain that you'll win. Petal has very weak defense and can be easily deleted if targeted.

Mid Game Top

Sometimes you'll have both Breaking and Shiversteel, sometimes you'll just have one of the two, it all depends on how fed you are. It's not the end of the world if you don't have both completed, as long as you've got one of the two. If you have Breaking Point, you must not be going against any gap closers which is good, but still have a Dragonheart just for a little defense since the enemy team is a little built as well. If they are trying to counter you with some armor, try to work a piercing spear in, but don't rush it instead of the Shiversteel unless you're really confident on avoiding attacks. If you have Shiversteel, you must be going against some pretty annoying focus heroes which is not a problem since the item was made to keep you at a distance. Just activate it once you become targeted by a hero that can easily catch up to you, which negates that ability. If you have both items, chances are you're really fed and you have no problem singling out a hero and capitilizing on a kill.

Late Game Top

You are probably the most annoying player for the opponents team and have been being targeted in team fights which is fine. Usually during this time, an enemy jungler is hunting you every time and team fight breaks out. An easy way to deal with this is lead him out of the team fight and take him one on one. If you manage to pop your Shiversteel and kite the enemy you'll be able to sustain with the Serpent Mask and return to the core of the fight with BP stacks making you a menace and pushing the enemy team away. If you are going up against an Ardan which can Ult you and make your escape route futile, there's two options; 1 is to hope you have already built some sort of Reflex Block item that can allow you to peel out of there, or 2 which is to stay close to your team and target the carry with the most damage and least health without dying too fast. If the whole team is targeting you, and chasing you away from your team, try to bounce back into your teammates and dodge as much attacks as you can while your team slowly melts them as they focus you. Then, when you see a weakness or an opportunity to fight back, feel free to auto the carries and build up as much BP and don't forget to Ult when in trouble to regain some health for GG plays.

Conclusion Top

Petal is a difficult and squishy character that may take getting some use to, and is usually recommended for landers who know targeting and team movement. You never want to get caught out because if you do, your team loses a great asset and pretty much throws every fight. So don't get frustrated when you are killed a lot when you first try her. The one key rule to playing her is to play as if each hit from the enemy team is the last hit to kill you.
