Introduction: Top

Hi all,

I play as Pralaydude. With the latest 1.14, Petal, in my opinion, is the most versatile hero in the Halcyon. She can now play as Laner, Jungler, Roamer. I have been seeing players using the Crystal Power (CP) because of her stats. She is great as CP but now she just rocks with the Weapon Power (WP).

This build Petal Vs CP Petal: CP fades. But, of course, I am assuming you stutter step and position well while doing it.

If played carefully, she will unbeatable with double-digit kills, <3-5 deaths and mostly double-digit supports.

What i am not going into: Top

I am not going to go into the Stats, abilities, updates. I am sure you all are updated on these. If not, life is a *****.

Indicators to Petal and her seeds Top

1. Seeds DON'T HEAL enough or none at all. Don't sweat over. Not required.
2. Don't SPAM seeds. You will be screwed because Petal has only 6 charges. Always have one in buffer for you to use the Trampoline.
3. Trampoline doesn't even help you jump over the lowest hedges. Again don't sweat it. You will only need it for two purposes: Positioning during a fight or running away.
4. Only trigger Spontaneous Combustion when the munions are chewing the heals of the enemy player. This also heals. So, in case you are dead and running, one can use it to heal or kite depending on how miserable you are feeling at that point of time.
5. Now the Jungle is merciless with the Jungle monsters and Gold miners punching in more attack with speed. Don't try Gold miner ALONE until you have Spontaneous combustion ready or your roamer with you in the early game. You WILL DIE. in the late games, Petal is probably the fastest jungle clearer now.

Now how to play start game <for newbies> Top

Start with the and potions. When the game starts, DON'T plant any seeds anywhere until you reach the first Jungle camp near the Shop. use the time which Roamer uses to reach the camp and hits them to plant your seeds. Remember, sometimes Petal auto attacks the jungle minions. If that happens, hop away from the leashing range of the jungle minion until they are back to the roamer. This is important for maximising use of Ironguard Contract . (assuming of course, you know how the system works).

*Point to note: The Ironguard contract works fine if the jungle minion hits the roamer JUST ONCE. I have come across many roamers linger around the jungle minions until the latter is on the verge of death. If this happens, please guide the roamer to move on to the next camp. This will save time and increase the speed of build and hence help gain upper hand. This build relies on speed of build and hence this is important

Point of Caution: Sometimes, even though the update doesn't favour jungle ganks at the beginning of the game, we have been doing it very successfully. Keep an eye on the lane. If the enemy laner is missing, you are in for a GANK. Hop away to the lane and invade their jungle while they are clearing your jungle (depending on the aggression level you have). Stay alert. Enemy junglers may just come back to their own jungles after the first gank.

Once you finish the first rotation, your enemy camp will just be reaching the Jungle shop. Beware. DON'T ENGAGE. Petal is squishy and WILL die if the roamer doesn't back her up or worse if there is a Koshka in the brush with a Catherine to back.

Quickly buy your items or not and move on to complete the second rotation. This is when the time lag of visiting the jungle shop comes in if the enemy jungle camp or you had visited the lame after the first rotation. Ganks from the Jungle shops become rarer as the game progresses but STAY ALERT.

RUSH the BONESAW.

Why this build you ask Top

A. Petal's auto-attacks punch in immense damage.

"Pets have 8 (+11 per level, +45% of crystal) damage. A few moments after Petal plants a seed, it will automatically sprout a munion, up to a maximum of 3 pets. In addition, basic attacks mark enemy heroes with sunlight. If a munion bites a marked target, the sunlight is consumed and Petal gains 10-40% attack speed (level 1-12) for 1.5 seconds."

You may argue why not the Sorrow Blade .
Three primary reasons:Let's look at the stats of Bone Saw

On Hit: Your basic attacks shred 7% of the target's armor for 6 seconds. Max 7 stacks.
+30 Weapon Power
+50% Attack Speed

1. So, early in the game, enemy camp won't have armour items. They will only depend on their in-build passive armour as per the hero/ heroine they are playing. You will become stronger than them when you shred the armour. Then, not only you but your team mates can also kill easily, thereby increasing the probability of a sweaping the whole enemy camp in a skirmish. This serves as a team weapon because of the shredder.

2. It allows attack speed. Combined with the already built-in attack speed of the Petal auto-attack along with the shredder, it secures a kill even of an unsuspecting enemy tank/s.

3. It gives active Weapon power as well and adds to Petal's in-build weapon damage of 64 units.

B. Now add +75% Attack Speed, +20% Critical Chance, +20% Critical Damage from Tornado Trigger .

C. Add Journey Boots very quickly. This is important to position yourself to attack or run away.

Passive: +0.5 move speed; +1 additional speed outside of combat.
Activate: Sprint for 1.5 seconds (30s cooldown).
Other than the Speed, Journey Boots provide the all important +300 Max Health, +8 Health Regeneration, +25 Armor, and +25 Shield. Helps you to stay alive.

D. At this time, build Shiver Steel or War horn together.

Why Shiver Steel:
For the next 6 seconds, your basic attacks will slow the target by 40%. Slow lasts 2 seconds if you are melee and 0.6 seconds if you are ranged. (20s cooldown) PLUS +500 Max Health

1. Your already built fast basic attacks activated with Shiver Steel slows enemies to a crawl for you to administer the spontaneous combustion without fail.
2. It gives you 500 health. So, while you are killing enemies, you are staying alive too.

Why War-horn? This packs true damage per second, provides health and helps you rush in or away from a fight. War-horn carries passive Storm-guard damage (Basic attacks deal +20 true damage per second (+1 for every 25 gold earned from Ironguard, 20% damage vs heroes, 150 max damage) Combined with Bonesaw, Tornado Trigger, Shiver steel, Petal becomes LETHAL and nigh un-killable.

By this time, ideally you should have won the game. If not, you can take whatever you wish. I don't want to push you more after having read until this. :-)

Finishing Tips: Top

1. Whenever you are attempting Gold miner or Kraken, always consume the infusions Weapon infusion first, then Crystal or both.

2. This is a team game.
a) Build at least one item that helps the team; no matter whether you are a laner, jungler or roamer.
b) Whenever you visit shop, make sure to buy at least one scout trap and place it where not placed already.
c) Don't roam around alone. You WILL be KILLED. Always a Turret or a team mate to back you up.
d) Don't focus on individual kills to show off. In the end, if you don't get the VAIN, you have lost it.

Last and the most important, if enemy team invades your jungle, you have four choices:
Defend if you can and carry on with life OR
die like a ***** trying 1 Vs 2 or 2 Vs 3 OR
run away and wait for the enemy to clear your side of the jungle and sulk OR
circle around to their side to clear their side of the jungle.

See what suits your game the best ;-)

Have fun. Stay blessed. Let Petal shine your games with sunlight...
