How stunning is Cathrine? Top

Hi all Vainglorians,

I have been playing Cathrine A LOT lately because she is very "stunning" and very versatile. She is tanky & sassy because she can stand in the middle of the fight and keep wrecking, she can chase and stun to kill or assist to kill all running away enemies.

Early game Top

I play Cathrine as a roamer always get a flare or two to detect early invaders that are hiding on the bushes, the iron contract is for roamer to start hitting the miners and let your jungler to do the last hit. Why Cathrine? because Cathrine is tanky and she can run away easily with her merciless pursuit.

Core game Top

The merciless pursuit is the most powerful ability of Cathrine. I normally would hide on the bush while jungling with my jungler and roaming between the lane and the jungle to see how I can support the team, when I am roaming, I am focusing on fighting off the invaders and seek opportunities to initiate the fight, kill minion miners and the gold miner. Cathrine can steal the Kraken easily when your enemies are trying to capture it. Your Blast Tremor is the best ability to surprise the opponents because it has a high damage output which is very very good for the last hit to steal the Kraken and silence your opponents at the same time. Then if your opponents got mad at you, you can activate Stormguard right after it and use Merciless Pursuit to either stun one of them if your team mates are around or to escape from the gank if none of your team mate is around.

Late game Top

Late game aka destroy the enemy's base. Kraken or no Kraken? If your team have killed 2~3 enemies and have purchased most of core items and secured both minion mines, then you may not need the Kraken. Because the minions are strong enough to tank the turrets. You just need to stand behind the minion wave to take the first hit from the turrets and then everyone just keep taking down the turrets. How Kraken can help? Your opponents are just like you always keeping an eye on the Kraken, if you released it, then your opponent might got freak out. So suddenly you will have 4 members in your team. Your opponent will be struggle to decide to take you down or to take the Kraken down. So if your team has killed fair bit of enemies and around the jungle then I will hit that three arrow buttons to lead my team to capture the Kraken and the last minion mine before entering the opponent's base because the chance of winning will be much higher if there are still 3 turrets left. If there are only 2 or 1.5 turrets left and your team is near the opponent's base instead of the jungle and have killed at least 2 enemies then for the sake of ending the game quickly then I will just leave the Kraken alone and keep pushing! When you pushing without the Kraken, remember Cathrine is the new Kraken! She is super duper tanky (with Fountain of renewal and Warhorn) and powerful when you have a bonesaw and a aftershock. Clockwork will allow your Cathrine to chase and stun your enemy more often. Get both infusions from the jungle shop too if you have 1k left during the late late game. Cathrine will be unstoppable by then, she can initiate fights, chase, be a tank and be a killing machine all at once at the same time.
