Threat Hero Notes
1
Joule Early game CP/WP Joule is easy. Just watch for her Rocket Leap.
2
Blackfeather WP Blackfeather can be easy, if you maintained your distance, it would be an easy fight.
3
Gwen Carry WP Gwen is easy to manage, as long as you max A and C. A to slow her down, and C to finish her off. Late game with her stuns, Aces High, can be damaging. KEEP YOUR DISTANCE!
3
Baron Carry WP/CP Baron isn't too bad if you have a good mobility early game. Hit and run.
3
Skye Skye CP/WP is not much of a problem. Shut her down early game, and you'll do just fine.
4
Idris Carry CP Idris would be difficult due to his long-range attacks.
4
Lyra Carry Lyra, can be a bit difficult due to her Imperial Sigil, which make her almost impossible to kill.
5
Kestrel Kestrel is a pain, unless you stay behind your minions.
6
SAW Carry WP Saw is not as bad as CP Saw on early game. His Suppressing Fire gets annoying.
6
Petal Carry Petal can be tamed. Just kill her minions. It keeps her wasting her energy, which makes her rely more on her WP.
7
Adagio Carry WP Adagio is beast. You got to keep your distance and watch his Gift Of Fire on the cs is damaging on early game.
7
Samuel Samuel's early game is a pain. His Malice & Verdict hits hard early game.
8
  No Threat
9
Vox Carry CP or WP Vox is hell. If you meet him, build defense accordingly. You have to try to attack early game and keep him low on his cs.
10
Celeste CP Celeste is easy early game if you can watch your distance. Late game would be a lot harder. Pray that you're going against a noob Celeste.
10
Skaarf CP Skaarf is scary. Just like Celeste, his Spit Fire and Goop combo can destroy a squishy CP Ringo

Introduction Top

This is AnakManis with my first guide in VaingloryFire, and this is Crystal Powered (CP) Ringo on Winter Season 2016-17.

CP Ringo is "squishy" but a "beast" in sniping, as long as you know your placement, range, and health. Map awareness and knowing your enemies' hero's ability are also keys to winning in any MOBA game.

So if you're a beginner and wanting to have a guide on a CP Ringo, then continue reading.

Map Game Awareness Top

Being aware to your surrounding is the key.

Having your captain placing visions throughout the key places in the map is essential.

If your captain is not familiar in doing this, buy yourself a Scout Trap or two just in case enemies' jungle heroes decide to make early ganks.

Place the Scout Trap in the bush nearest to your turret. And if there are stealthy enemy heroes like Flicker, Taka, or even Kestrel, it's wise to have another one where you most-likely be standing when you are last-hitting the minions.

Keep your eyes to the map on the upper right of your screen and be aware of the locations of your enemies at all time.

Know Your Enemies Top

Since you're a beginner, you may not know all the enemies abilities just yet. So what I would encourage you to do is to get to know all the different heroes and their abilities. This will make your life easier in the game.

How to do that? Go to practice mode and try every kind of heroes available. Get the feel, and know what their abilities are. When practicing, think of ways on how you can dodge or block the abilities.

For instance, know that Phinn's ultimate or C ability is Forced Accord, which can pull you closer to him. So knowing that, you can keep your distance or buying a Reflex Block to keep yourself from being pulled.

Playing on Battle Royale mode is also a good way to know other heroes' abilities.

Early Game Top

Now that you know the keys to success in Vainglory, let's begin the guide with early game.

In winter season 2016-17 (v2.1.2), at early game, the Treant would spawn in the middle of the map before the jungle shop spawning in 4:00 minute mark.

Typically, your jungle teammates would ask you to assist them either to get the Treant, or help them from getting obliterated from the enemy's team.

So with that in mind, I would start out with buying 3 items from the shop:

These 3 are my typical starting items.

However, an alternate to this can also be:

To fool the enemies into thinking that you are building weapon powered (WP) Ringo instead of a CP Ringo you can start off with these three items:

Either way, these are my recommendation to the starting items.

Now Ringo needs gold in buying upper tiers items or his core items. Therefore, last-hitting the minions is a key in early game toward the final build.

In early game, as you are accumulating gold, enemy heroes will tend to gank you from the bush. When you have the chance to head back to shop, head back and buy Scout Trap and extra Halcyon Potion to help you with your vision and staying alive.

Do not push too hard, or you will get ganked on. If you do get ganked, use your boots to run either back to your turret or to your teammates as fast as you can.

Purchasing extra Halcyon Potions is needed to regenerate your health and your energy as you last hitting the minions, so buying 2 or 3 of Halcyon Potion is a good thing to have in staying alive and being able to use your abilities when you need to.

CP Ringo early game is squishy, so try not to get in too much of a team fight, but if you are called in to a team fight, stay back behind your jungler and captain and do damage from the back.

Mid Game/Team Fights Top

Mid game typically is around 10-15 minutes (depends on how you and your team plays) or once you hit level 6. During this time, you may have seen plenty of team fights and you will see plenty more team fights happening at late game as well.

As I mentioned before, your role as a carry sniper is to stay safe at the back of your jungler and your captain, and hitting your enemies from the back of the line.

In team fights, it is essential to find the enemy's squishy target first. This is usually their carry. He/she is the one that you have been facing off in the lane.

If you already hit level 5, Hellfire Brew should be available at your disposal. When your team wants to start a team fight, it is best for a CP Ringo to hide in the bush unseen in activating the Hellfire Brew on your squishiest or most damaging enemy. This is typically your enemy's jungler or their carry. Once your ultimate have been disposed, use your Twirling Silver to follow up on your ultimate. This is the "Shock and Awe" tactic.

If your target is running away, use your Achilles Shot to slow them down.

During this time, always remember to keep your distance. After killing the squishiest enemy, focus on the 2nd squishiest target. Remember to ping that target to help your team to work together in eliminating that target. Communication is another key to winning.

If you find yourself out of place and or if you are ahead of your team mates, use the boots to run back as soon as possible, because your captain cannot help you when you're too far and/or there's a greater chance for you in getting baited. I will write more about baiting in the DO NOT DO THIS section.

Remember the core items you should be focusing on buying in mid game:

If you're still far from achieving these items, then this means that you're not getting enough gold from last-hitting the minion, your team mate is stealing your minions/creeps or, you've been getting killed too many times and misses the chances to clear out the minion waves.

Defensive Items Top

With this CP Ringo, your job is too stay behind your team mates. Therefore, defensive items is not needed.

However, when you are facing with enemy hero, usually a jungler ( Glaive, Koshka, Taka, etc...), who can jump over your team mates to kill you, or you find yourself being killed too many times then look at your enemies' builds to counter their attacks by clicking on the scoreboard icon on the bottom right.
By seeing the scoreboard, it will help you to assess your enemy's builds and you may build defensive items to counter the damage items of the enemy's team.

When looking at scoreboard, you want to pay attention to the colors of the enemies' scoreboard. Here are basic principle to consider:
  • If the high killing enemy is filled with red items, then you have to buy armor (orange) items like:

  • If the enemy is filled with blue items, then buy shield (yellow) items like:

  • If you feel like you need to have more health, buy green items like:

Reflex Block or Crucible is best used when you're going against enemy heroes who uses high crowd control (CC) abilities like slow from Gwen's Buckshot Bonanza, silence from Vox's Wait for It, or stuns from Celeste's Core Collapse.

This is the reason why knowing your enemy's abilities are essential.

Bubble Bursting Late Game Top

In late game, there are key points you need to consider in doing:
  1. Have your core items completed.
  2. Buy Crystal Infusion before team fights.
  3. Buy defensive items if needed.
  4. Target your squishiest enemy first.
  5. Work behind your team mates (the captain & the jungler).
  6. Stay near your captain.
  7. Watch your placement.
  8. Secure the kills.
  9. Win the game.

Again, as a CP Ringo your cp abilities are powerful and can burst down your enemies, however, cp Ringo is very squishy in this stage, so know your place and stay back. If needed, use those boots to run toward your captains so he can protect you. Also, target the right target. If you happen to miss on targeting those targets, like using your Hellfire Brew on a minion or a jungle monster, then you may loose the game and gets a thumbs down from your team mates.

Another thing to note as a Bubble Bursting CP Ringo, if you noticed enemy's team with high shield items, please buy a Broken Myth. This will allow you to put them out faster. Doubling on Shatterglass can also benefit a CP Ringo.

DO NOT DO THIS!! Top

With that said, here are the list of DO NOTs:
  1. Do not get behind on your gold.
  2. Do not neglect on the Crystal Infusion.
  3. Do not bush-checking.
  4. Do not miss targeting.
  5. Do not fall for the bait.
  6. Do not be far away from your captain.
  7. Do not get caught off by yourself.
  8. Do not think you can do all by yourself.

Please work on your last-hitting. By last-hitting the minions, you can earn the gold to buy your core items. Always use the 500 gold earned to buy Crystal Infusion before a team fight. Remember to use the map to be aware of where the enemies are located, do not be the one to check the bush, and do not fall for the bait.

What do I mean by don't fall for the bait? I meant don't fall for enemy who is kiting you. This is usually happen when one of the enemy's team, typically their captain, is running low on health and he is running back. Your instinct will want to chase him and try to burst him down. However, you forgot to calculate that he still have his Fountain of Renewal and a Crucible. You also forget to look at the map to find where the rest of his team mate. Your enemy is kiting you and you will be destroyed once you are near the enemy's team.

So DO NOT DO THIS!.

Conclusion Top

In conclusion, I am pleased that you're able to get to this point of the CP Ringo guide. I also hope that I have given you some tips on becoming the best Bubble Bursting Crystal Powered Ringo in the Halcyon Fold. I try to make the flow of the guide to be easily readable.
