Quick Guide Top

Vox is a pretty interesting, yet basic hero with basically only his basic attack as his missiles. (I know his ultimate...) Anyway, Vox is a bursting type hero and usually this happens more in the late game phases where he has CP to explode off of.

1. Either get Swift Shooter or Book of Eulogies depends on what type of laner the enemy is. (Look in Types of Laners chapter)
2. Upgrade to Heavy Prism then get Blazing Salvo & Energy Battery -You'll need the extra energy.
3. Finish Alternating Current
4. Travel Boots then either go for Offensive Item ( Frostburn) or Defensive Item ( Coat of Plates or Kinetic Shield)
5. Get whatever item you didn't get from step 4 then sell Energy Battery(Ex: If you got Frostburn 1st then get Coat of Plates or Kinetic Shield)
6. Buy Energy Bit to test enemy out if they build Shield or not & you usually want to wait awhile longer if the enemy still hasn't built anything yet (Even with a lot of money, but once you get about enough the amount to buy a Broken Myth then go ahead & purchase it)
7. If they build Shield get Piercing Shard 1st then Heavy Prism; However if they build Armor then get Aftershock
8. Then finish Defensive Item (Ex: Kinetic Shield or Metal Jacket); However if the enemy builds Shield & if you don't have Broken Myth then finish Broken Myth 1st then finish your Defensive Item
9. Then get Aftershock if you haven't already

Lane Tips For Vox Top

1ST CS (Creep Score): Once the game first starts head over to the lane and hide in the lower bush. Then wait there until you see your very first prey (Enemy minion with light red health). And go ahead and zap that for your first CS/ gold loot. This is a smart to avoid recieving damage from the enemy laner if he or she is lethal from a long range (Ex: Ringo or Saw). You could also do this strategically and still maintain the lane without the enemy pressuring you too far into your side. I really recommend doing this as it will help you gain as much gold as possible and recieve the least amount of damage as possible too.

BUDDY UP: Every time you need to get an item and you see that your teammates in the jungle are heading towards the Jungle Shop. Then that is the perfect time to go with them. However, you must not forget to push the lane far enough before you head out so that you can come back in time and continue casually without a damaged tower.

HELP OUT: Always be alert for the enemy team in the jungle. If you don't then the enemy laner will go help out his team and end up destroying your teammates. Thus, resulting in made allies and a 3v1 situation where you are basically stuck in the lane with zero vision. So if there is a fight in the jungle be sure to head down there asap!

THE CRITICAL MINE: What is this so important mine? Well, its just a regular mine, but you really need it because it can really help you when your moving up and down the map very often. The position is key, however, it is very important to have this mine pretty early in the game because it may prevent any unnecessary deaths on your part. If your roam teammate s smart enough he will do this for you. But if he doesn't set the mine then you need to and you can get the mine as early as the 1 minute mark. Also as long as you have the first 2 towers still standing then it is still important to reestablish that mine.

Threat Levels Explanations Top

As you can tell from the Threat Levels section the general average of the heroes that are a threat to Vox is pretty high. Why? Well, Vox is unfortunnatrly pretty squishy with this build. However, this is mostly in the beginning so that is why you have to be careful especially if you are facing those heroes who are in the red zone. These heroes are dangerous to Vox because they can do massive damage if you aren't careful. Keep your distance and wait for your team to come through before you do anything by yourself.
