Full Vainglory Vox Build on Vaingloryfire

Overview: Top

Introduction:

Vox is a mobile sniper with a high-energy playstyle, able to quickly and frequently dash around the battlefield. Vox deals significant damage either to a single target or to groups of enemies depending on his build. This flexibility allows Vox to react according to the needs of his team.

Heroic Perk- Julia's Song

Vox's basic attacks also deal crystal power as bonus damage and grant Vox an HP barrier, up to a max cap. When attacking enemies with Resonance, this damage will bounce to nearby enemies, refresh Resonance and also grant a barrier.

Sonic Zoom
Slot: A

Vox dashes in the targeted direction, throwing two attacks to the nearest enemy marked with resonance (prioritizing heroes). Overdrive: Vox’s basic attacks gain an additional 20% weapon ratio for 2 seconds after this ability is activated.

Pulse
Slot: B

Vox emits a sonic pulse that echoes off nearby enemies and applies Resonance. The pulse applies a slow that is significantly stronger near its center. Each upgrade to Pulse increases the damage Vox's basic & bouncing attacks deal to targets with Resonance.

Wait for it...
Slot: C

Vox fires an ultrasonic wave that applies Resonance to enemies and silencing them in its path and refreshes all Resonance, dealing partial damage. Shortly after, a wide shockwave explodes along the same path, dealing the rest of the crystal damage. Striking enemy heroes with the shockwave will also cause Resonance to bounce.

KIT USAGE

Julia's Gift, much like Celeste has a small crystal power component to his basic Attacks. However he differs because his basic Attacks grant him a health barrier to max cap. This allows him to (in lane against Saw, Ringo, Adagio etc), go in and last hit safely with the small barrier, as he takes the title of shortest range ranged character. Along with this, his resonance from his abilties allows his basic Attacks to effectively crowd control

Sonic Zoom is very effective with dealing a large amount of damage for single targets, especially when building weapon. In effect, he can easily sling out 4 consecutive shots at an enemy, (Auto Attack, then abilty which is two shots, and a final shot as the skill resets basic Attack). You are also able to pass through some walls, although the dash is quite short. However, the dash is quite fast and you can juke opponents by running in a bush and dashing back out to confuse them.

Pulse is very useful and can be used like a flare. By activating it, you can see when the pulse impacts a enemy hero or minion if they are within the Pulse (Circle). You can also use it's slow which is applied and is much stronger near it's centre by activating Pulse then immediately dashing away with A.

Wait for It is his ultimate which is the only other abilty which can silence enemies along with Catherine's Blast Tremor. Makesure you line enemies up to get the maximum out of the resonance procs.

ASSAULT BUILD
+ + + +

This build focuses on the devastating single target damage that comes from his Sonic Zoom and basic attack. This build maximises his damage potential by focusing on a single target.

You should begin jungling focusing on earning as much gold as possible. Start of with a Blazing Salvo to keep the small health barrier up while attacking as well as to increase the affects of resonance. Move onto a Sorrowblade and build on from there starting off tier 2 items to be finished near the end game (If your enemies can even survive that far XD)

As a weapon carry sniper, you are the most fragile and should be protected. You can quite effectively kite enemies and dash around them dealing significant bursts of damage especially with Sonic Zoom where you can retreat backwards while firing shots at enemies.

SHATTER BUILD
+ + + +

Vox's crystal build delivers a shocking vibe across multiple enemies. His overdrived Pulse with 125% bonus damage combined with his crystal power items truly brings out his menacing multi-target monster.

Focus on building a Void Battery followed by building Attack speed ( Blazing Salvo) and tier 2 crystal items to harass multiple enemies with your resonance. By mid-game Broken Myth and Alternating Current should be finished followed by a Heavy Prism to enhance every effect of resonance damage, and basic Attack bonus damage. However, if your enemies are building lots of health, an Aftershock is devastating against them. Building crystal, maxing your ultimate is worth it as you can use it very often to silence and deal massive damage to clumped up teams.

Stick with team in the endgame and always initiate with Wait for It providing the precious silence time (Being most effective when the enemies are grouped together waiting for a team fight to break out- Which you will start). Always use Pulse to apply resonance and your crystal power will devastate teams. Keep in mind that Sonic Zoom will only fire at targets in vision and will always Attack the closest enemy with heros prioritised. Also make use of his slow for Pulse with it being much stronger at the centre. Try combinations Sonic Zoom to get close to the enemy you're chasing, followed by Pulse to apply the slow- It's the smallest of things that will change team fights from the slightest of resonance bounces to his slow ;)

HYBRID BLITZ BUILD
+ + + + +

As Vox combines both weapon and crystal items, this hybrid build shines brilliantly in all situations being able to effectively 1v1/kite as well as clear minions waves and strike the entire enemy team with his abilities.

SONIC BURST BUILD
+ + + +

Vox's burst can be surprisingly be quite effective with him being able to quickly land 4 consecutive basic attacks with the combination Basic Attack+ Sonic Zoom+Another basic attack. His assassin skills are greatly helped with his A abilty allowing to dash and fire two fast shots that quickly drops opponent's HP causing them to panic.

BLIZZARD BLITZ BUILD
+ + + +

Invade your opponents with a mighty chill that will slow you opponents until you get the kill. This monster build harasses entire enemy teams with resonance and 35% slow effect from Frostburn+ Shatterglass. You are able to catch everyone, even foes not in range with ease, casting a slow on everyone hit.

LIFE TAKER
+ + + +

Life taker & Heart breaker. Vox's unrivalled abilty to deal massive crystal and weapon damage at the same time allows him to most effectively combine all the health sucking items of the Halcyon Fold.

DEFENCE OPTIONS
+ + +

In all games, it's almost always crucial to have a defence item. These items are all situational with varying effectiveness depending on the enemy. However, if you wish to maximise your damage output, you may choose to. The Crucible is usually the preferred item blocking damage for all your teammates in the frenzy of team fights. In addition, Fountain of Renewal is a good alternative with it's heal that effects your entire team. The Atlas Pauldron and Aegis is both very effective in certain situations where either the entire team or the carry is building weapon or crystal respectively. But as always, defence or no defence should always be built according to both the enemies and your allies.

ITEMS

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Shatterglass is a crystal build's raw power, amplifying his damage and turning the volume up. With his basic attacks dealing part crystal damage along with the increased damage from bouncing resonance, he can mow down waves of minions and wreck teams. Not to mention the much increased damage from Wait for It which hits even harder with the resonance from the powerful ultimate. Also, Shatterglass synergies very well with other crystal items such as Alternating Current, Frostburn and Eve of Harvest.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Alternating Current along with Eve of Harvest and Shatterglass is the bread and butter for a Vox crystal build. His basic attacks will hit enemies so hard it isn't even funny. The synergy between his heroic perk Julia's Song and Alternating Current combined with raw power from Shatterglass packs the maximum punch even for a crystal build. In addition, the increased attack speed not only lets you along out your powerful attacks, but only allows you to bounce resonance you quickly and powerfully you won't even have to move on to a second target to clear waves of minions, not to mention the handy health barrier he gets.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Provide you an excellent source of energy along with a life steal for ALL crystal damage done (Including his basic attacks deal part crystal, and every other boosted basic attack from Alternating Current). Although the main reason for this item is for the energy to keep your abilities going, it is also one of the most effective item for Vox because as you know, resonance damage is bounced off from hitting your targets with a basic Attack with a crystal component-particularly effective as resonance hits multiple targets. Therefore, combined with Shatterglass and Alternating Current, you are able to steal more and heal more ;)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sorrowblade's power transforms Vox into a single target hole punching sniper. Taking on the role of a true sniper, a weapon build shifts his power away from resonance to a vicious hunter, being able to 'Single-handedly melt opponents. His overdrived ability Sonic Zoom takes advantage of this power by harnessing 75% of it dealing a death blow to anyone he dares to come near.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This item shines brilliantly on a weapon Vox build. It's multiple benefits and synergies with his heroic perk and abilities makes Vox an assassin of the Halcyon Fold. Bonesaw's armour shred is particularly effective as he can easily land 4 rapid consecutive attacks quickly, already stacking 4 of the 5 stacks, with a shred amount of 48% of the target upon engaging with an enemy. This is done with the combo of One basic attack followed by Sonic Zoom and then a basic attack right after, as this ability acts as a basic attack reset, allowing you to fire a shot right after your dash and two shots. In addition, the attack speed increase grants a nice benefit to Vox. With Julia's Song the small health barrier he gains is helped by the attack speed increase as it stacks to a max allowing him to reach this as fast as possible.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Serpent Mask provides Vox with a good sustain layered on top of his small health barrier he gets from basic attacking. His resonance bounces also add to the small sustain effect allowing you to recover from clearing minion waves or by using Sonic Zoom to take advantage of him being able to land 4 rapid shots. The weapon power increase although not massive, is a decent increase allowing him to strike harder, making it easier to last hit in lane or clear jungle faster to get the 50 health heal from killing a minion.
