Fortress R.I.P. Fortress.
1
Petal Petal. 'Nuff said.
2
Adagio Weapon or support? No problem. Crystal? eh...
3
Ardan Vanguards are an annoyance for getting enemies away...
3
Rona Easily punished by Anchor + Atlas Pauldron.
4
Joule Can't stun Phinn, but the jump can escape the Anchor.
4
Ringo Might be a problem for your laner, but if they outfarm him you should be alright.
5
Celeste Celeste ults are a problem for anybody.
5
SAW DO NOT let him keep his distance. Pull him in, have a party, blow up the world, and be on your merry way.
6
Phinn Watch out for his moves to pull you out of position.
7
Skaarf Can be a bit too powerhouse-y late, but just have a good laner and you'll be fine.
7
Vox Wait For It nukes can be annoying, exert caution. Maybe try a crucibe.
8
Skye Her mobility can put you out of position easily. You can counter this with a Shiversteel on your laner, but usually they don't want to sacrafice that gold :/
9
Koshka Not quite as bad as Taka, but can easily chase Phinn. Also, be aware of ambushes.
10
Krul A nightmare for Phinn, it is free stacks city for Krul. Counter with an early Atlas Pauldron.
10
Taka R.I.P. Phinn. Cause of death: Cardboard box assassination. Counter with a lot of vision!

Main Task Top

As the Support, your job is to give Phinn as much aid as possible, but don't neglect your laner when they're in a pinch. Vision is important! Check out SchoolOfShin's Roaming video for help on scout trap placement, because if Phinn gets ambushed, your team will be a firecracker without the *BANG* .

Your core is:
-Warhorn, for reasons stated below,
-Atlas Pauldron, for devastating the enemy team after an anchor, and
-Sorrowblade, because "real men box" :3

Reasons For Items Top

Warhorn-

Get first due to IGC to let Phinn get as fat as possible :3
Also good for keeping the teams chasing/running potential at a maximum.

Sorrowblade-

Fear the fist! With Sorrowblade you becomes a deadly combo with the anchor. This is not required second, because if your team is losing, you might want Atlas Paudron first.

Atlas Pauldron-

A good opportunity to use this on enemies is immediately following the anchor opening. This gives your team a huge advantage against those such as Krul, Rona, Ringo, and other fast-hitting heroes.

Fountain of Renewal-

Atlas gives some armor, this gives some shield. Done and done. Also, doubles as a global heal for in-between fights.

Journey Boots-

Should be travel boots fairly early, but you can keep up with Phinn even without journey, so you don't need to spend gold on this as a priority.

Breaking Point-

Fights with Phinn can drag on, because he keeps pulling them back in. Use this late game to secure teamfights and (hopefully) win the match.

Phinn's Job Top

Phinn, as the crystal* damage dealer, is to let Ardan engage the enemy team, then open with the Anchor. He should also get Warhorn fairly early to give the pair maximum chasing/running power. Avoid getting ambushed, as this would allow the enemy to get better positioning if the teamfight started there.

Possible Laner Combos Top

I recommend a Mage as a laner, due to the AoE they can give. Here is what they can be used for:

Celeste is a good choice because of the AoE stun that can combo from the anchor. Just watch out for Crucibles...

Skaarf has a perfect opportunity for Goop before an Anchor, then igniting it when they are pulled in. Spitfire chain to victory :3
