Skaarf (General information) Top

Skaarf is a nimble, squishy Mage who excels in attacking enemy heroes from the backline and dealing huge amounts of damage. Nimble enemies are huge threats to Skaarf as they can easily dodge his abilities. To counter these enemies, consider purchasing slumbering husk to prevent the enemy heroes from dealing quick fatal blows. Skaarf is best played by a skilled player who can predict enemy movements and react and reposition quickly.

Early Game Top

Played as a carry(Lane), Skaarf can constantly poke the enemy leaner early game. The crystal bit gives Skaarf some needed crystal damage and the energy battery allows Skaarf to constantly poke the enemy leaner without running out of energy. A good tactic early game in the lane, is to land a fireball on the enemy leaner and then proceed to land multiple basic attacks on the enemy, refreshing Skaarf "Fan of the Flames" heroic perk. Once the minion cycle in the lane is complete, return home to purchase boots and more crystal items.

Core Top

During mid-game, focus on participating in team fights and farming. To perform well in team fights during mid-game, purchase broken myth and eve of harvest. During team fights, it is recommended that you land multiple fire balls on the enemy heroes, occasionally drop your goop down for the enemies to burn on and then when your broken myth stacks are high, activitate your ultimate (C ability) to deal enormous damage to the opposing heroes. Basically, poke enemies from the backline and once your broken myth stacks are high enough, then activate Skaarf's C ability. The Halcyon Chargers are very useful as they provide high movement speed and energy regeneration and an increase of energy. Reflex block allows skaarf to dodge powerful attacks and abilities, and kinetic shield leads into agesis. Eve of harvest is very important as it allows Skaarf to constantly regenerate health and energy during battle. This regeneration of health allows Skaarf to survive longer hence allowing Skaarf to increase his stacks and deal more damage.

Late Game Top

During Late-Game, Focus on sticking with your team and letting them engage battles first. Skaarf performs extremely well late Game and using the same techniques from mid-game he can successfully menovour his way through the backline while dishing out enormous damage. Frostburn, Skaarf's third crystal item, allows Skaarf to slow enemies down and land more abilities on them. For this reason, frostburn is an extremely useful item that provides damage and slowing effects. Due to Skaarf's squishy nature, he is very vulnerable. To combat this, Agesis and (metal jacket or slumbering husk) can be purchased to allow Skaarf to withstand fatal blows and get out of tricky situations alive. Depending on the enemy choices, metal jacket or slumbering husk are acceptable purchases that provide different effects and stat boosts. Consider purchasing slumbering husk when up against heroes that can deal enormous damage instantaneously I.e. Joule,Taja, Koshka. When up against enemies building weapon power, consider purchasing metal jacket as it provides great weapon power resistance.

Summary Top

Overall, this build provides Skaarf with high Crystal power, defence, energy, and health and energy regeneration. This build enables Skaarf (if played well) to manoveour his way through the backline, poking enemies and building stacks so that he can then dish out high powerful attacks and sustain the attacks of the enemy heroes.
