Vox glimmershot! glimmershot! and more arrows and boom! he's out. Vox is easy and can be easily dish out as long as you keep your distance.
4
Celeste Celste players loves poking around especially on early game! move around and confuse her. make her use up all of her energy. time her ultimate and block it.
4
Baron Baron is annoying when he's with an Enemy tank. But in 1v1. If you think you have the upper hand and better skills then dish him out. Use Active Camo on him frequently and stun him. That will defintely kill him.
4
Reza If you're a good Kestrel player. You could dish out any squishy heroes fast and always have an escapd route. Reza's skills are fast and strong plus he's soft!! And if he can't see you, then you sir, can definitelt kill him.
5
Petal Not much trouble with Petal. use aegis/reflex block to dodge her ultimate.
5
Adagio pretty hard to kill just keep your distance while you're shooting your arrows, Easier if you have an ally with you.
5
Skaarf both of you are depending on your skill shots skills. so goodluck to whoever wins!
5
Skye try to distance and evade her forward barrage. use active camo to get near her then shoot your glimmershot.
5
Blackfeather Blackfeather is seriously not much of a big deal. shoot him for a far and he's pretty much gonna be dead.
5
Glaive Glaive can afterburn you when you try to escape using your invisibility(depends on the one using him) Stay away from Glaive unless you have a tanky ally with you or else you're toast.
5
SAW Saw can be pretty dangerous because of his Mad Cannon skill. If timed properly, you can use Crucible/Reflex Block while he's bombing you with cannons then use active cammo then glimmershot before he uses Roadie Run to escape.
5
Grace The only thing that's annoying with Grace is her Ultimate or 3rd Skill. When facing her it's better if you dish out her soft allies first and pray to God that at least one of your Allies will survive and kill Grace out.
6
Joule Joule is very easy to counter but she's quite tough. use glimmershot on her+basic attack and when she tries to escape using her rocket leap, use your boots then glimmershot again.
6
Fortress Fortress can be a pain sometimes, just be with your ally when dealing with him and he's done.
6
Catherine She has stuns and makes your glimmershot useless when she has her shield on.
6
Kestrel If she has stronger items than you then avoid confronting her alone. it's either you die or she dies on 1v1.
6
Phinn high hp but can kill him when you have a good ally with you. dont let yourself get hooked towards him and his allies.
6
Koshka You are both fast but very fragile. You can be her worst nightmare or SHE can be your worst nightmare. Depending on who has stronger items and better skills. she can kill you faster or you can. Her Yummy Catnip Frenzy hurts like Hell so be very careful when fighting against her(you can use Crucible when she uses her YCF)
6
Baptiste Baptiste's 2nd skill can be a pain when he casts it out on you. Be sure to activate your active camo and try to dish him out in the distance.
6
Reim Reim is strong. But what sets you higher than him is that you're a ranger and you can shoot him up in the distance and possibly kill him as long as you have back up.
6
Alpha Possibly ons of the most terrifying heroes in VG. Alpha was made to capture Stormguards= You & Cath. If Alpha equipd a flare gun and has a tanky ally with a stun like Cath /Phinn/Lance/Ardan then they can kill you in an instant. But if you position yourself right and alwas have an escape plan when faving her then you're good to go
7
Rona annoying. just let your allies dish her out while you're helping them from a far of course, You could place your Active Camo to trap her.
7
Ardan he's not much of a threat unless he locks you down with his cage and a terrifying ringo/taka is with him.
7
SAW SAW CP/WP is dangerous as hell. What you need when facing him is that you should be cautious of your distance from him, think ahead of what he's about to do and you might prevent it. Position yourself on the best spot where you could eitger surprise him or kill him in the distance.
7
Flicker Flicker is as annoying as you. Without flares and a backup then you could lose to him. Time your skills and you might just be able to survive a fight with him.
8
  No Threat
9
Krul Krul is strong on long fights, if you kept him stack his smite then you're dead. so kill him fast. Bring him back to the grave
9
Ringo Ouch! Not a fan of his "Hellfire Brew"! he's fragile but his strength is very terrifying! Always keep your distance from ringo!
10
Taka Oh the holy killer of all things squishy. Taka can burst you down with his X-Retsu and kills you in an instant! NEVER FACE HIM 1V1 AND NEVER EVER GO NEAR HIM OR YOU'RE GOING BACK TO THE NORTH POLE WITH SANTA. Place scout traps and use flares to tract his whereabouts when he's missing from the map.

INTRODUCTION TO KESTREL'S SKILLS Top

Adrenaline

Kestrel's Heroic Perk

Whenever Kestrel lands a basic attack, she gains 10% attack speed and reduces the cost of her abilities by 10%. This stacks up to 5 times and and wears off after 4 seconds.

Glimmershot

Kestrel fires an arrow, landing an armor-piercing basic attack on the first target in its path. The arrow then pierces through, dealing crystal damage to the target and other enemies behind it.

Kestrel can keep several arrows in reserve. After 3.3 seconds without using her bow, these arrows are automatically reloaded. Reload time is decreased based on attack speed.

Active Camo

Kestrel instantly vanishes from sight and gains bonus move speed. Additionally, she leaves an invisible phosphor mist at her location, revealing enemies as they walk through it. If Kestrel deals damage to an enemy hero within the mist, the mist will detonate, damaging and stunning all enemies within its area for0.8 seconds.

Kestrel??s basic attacks reduce the cooldown of Active Camo by 1 second. However, Active Camo cannot be triggered while Kestrel is taking damage from an enemy hero, putting it on a 2.5 second cooldown. The length of time Active Camo is disabled is reduced by bonus weapon power.

One Shot One Kill

After a delay, Kestrel fires a single arrow across the fold, impacting on the first enemy hero, large creature or structure in its path. When this hits an enemy hero, it reveals that hero and grants Kestrel full Adrenaline stacks. This deals 50% damage to non-heroes.

The base damage dealt by this ability is weapon damage. Higher ranks of this ability gain armor piercing.

Gameplay Top

Playing Kestrel is a bit tricky. don't worry if your allies kept on putting question mark pings on you since you will really need a lot of practice and good allies to support you. Kestrel can't go alone into the jungle or push the turret alone. you're squishy and if you don't react fast you're dead.

Start Kestrel on the lane and focus on farming and earning up lots of gold. what i like about CP kestrel is that your 2nd skill Active Camo can become so handy since the duration increases as you build up more Crystal Power. WP is great at Kestrel but your 2nd skill can be a bit futile sometimes because it only lasts for like 2/3 seconds so escaping with it is useless.

when fighting enemies like Taka/ Koshka/ Ringo it is a must to always carry Scout Trap and some Flare Gun. don't use up your Glimmershot too much. time it properly. one wrong move and you're dead.

FARM! FARM! FARM! Top

Buy Crystal Bit and then 2 Halcyon Potion's. Don't poke enemies too much especially if it's ringo you're faced with. but if they tried poking you then shoot them with your Glimmershot. After 5 minutes i usually earn 2.5k coins and i would head to the jungle shop to buy Heavy Prism, Light Shield then Sprint Boots.

Farm & Kill! Top

Once you've hit level 5/6 continue earning gold on the lane but be aware of the enemies that would go to your jungle. Place some scout traps so that you can gain vision on the jungle. You can go to the jungle every so often and may be score a few kills. Don't act like a hero and chase the enemy when you're on the lane as heroes such as Taka or Glaive might be hiding in the bushes waiting for the right time to attack you.

You're a long ranged sniper and becomes like an assassin with this build! That means you should go in-out of the battle and picking the moment to shoot down a vulnerable target then getting out using your Active Camo! never act like you have 6 freaking Metal Jacket with you! And do think of the things that the enemy will do to you once you get engage inside the battle! Think if Glaive 's going to use his afterburn, or if Catherine will hit you with her stun. DONT STICK AROUND TOO LONG especially if you see that your hp is running low! You'll turn into a juicy elf meat instantly! Quickly use Active Camo and return back to your base.

MID-GAME, BABY! Top

Frostburn is the first thing that i would finish then > Fountain of Renewal or Aegis. when facing enemies like Catherine/ Ardan/ Phinn, The third weapon i'm going to build is Broken Myth making it easy to pierce through their shield. If i have some extra coins i would buy Chronograph because Aftershock would be the next thing i'm going to build. Tho' you can always just build aftershock before fountain of renewal/aegis.

Fight some enemies with your allies to gain some coins and try to destroy the enemy turret, make sure you're always with someone since you're soft.

if you have received some coins when you were facing off some enemies, buy Travel Boots and finish off building your aftershock and your defensive item. don't forget to buy Scout Trap and some Flare Gun for visions.

Late Game! Top

Be wary of your enemies now. Since it's the Late Game, even if your scores are ahead they still have a chance to win(experienced this)and You should already have the one's that is posted above. You now have a very terrifying Kestrel! Although you're still a bit fragile so don't think that you can easily win a 1v1 match with some hero! I experienced fighting off with a low hp ringo and he still managed to kill me. so yea, when using Kestrel ALWAYS BE WITH YOUR ALLY! and as i have tested, if you completed the Late Game weapons. You can capture the Kraken Alone! When all of your enemies has been killed you can go and unleash the kraken by yourself. Of course, with an ally. it's going to be much more easier.

Crystal Build Top

Build Crystal Damage. This adds up the damage done with your abilities.

Frostburn slows down your enemy making it easy for you to land more arrows on them.

Aftershock this can make enemies drop their knees on your first strike!

Aegis this if your enemy is building CP and WP damage. very useful against Ringo's ultimate Hellfire Brew

Fountain of Renewal helps you stay alive during team fights. use and time it properly.

Crucible you gain 700 health and for example, you and your allies are very very close to each other and Saw used his deadly cannons or Ringo uses his flying flame you can activate this and you'll be rewarded as your team's hero! haha jokes. but seriously, you'll be a hero! (yay!)

Build Shatterglass or Clockwork! choose whether to increase your Crystal Damage or add up your flexibilty! Your choiceeee!

I often build Broken Myth or shatterglass when the fight is taking too long.(would get rid of boots for this) or when you're facing high hp heroes. you should distance yourself a bit on team fights. The Broken Myth will be very useful! Because The lower health you are, the more damage the Broken Myth will do to your enemies!

(Optional) Pick Between Eve of Harvest and Alternating Current.
