Guide to Kestrel V1.12 Top

Hey guys,

My first guid to a hero! Kestrel just came out hours ago and i have been playing ever since.
First things first. She. is. amazing. Love to play her.

The guide is still new so development will come.

Explanation Top

Beginning:
- Speaks for itself

Early mid:
You start building op to an Aftershock.

The Defence is depending on the enemy team so choose.

Boots come in handy as Kestrel needs her speed to control the lane. Move swiftly between poking the enemy laner, help the junglers or stay on the minions.

Mid Game:
If you are playing correctly you should have your Aftershock by now. Got the Boots and upgraded your armor to T2. Next thing you want to start building is Frostburn.

Late Game:
With your frostburn and Aftershock in place you should already do massive damage to the enemy team.
Poking with your (A), vanish with (B) and try to save the ult(C) for the last call(Or running enemies).

Start building for a Shatterglass. I've noticed Kestrel does not really need Broken Myth. Ofourse this is my choice and it worked out pretty good(Due to the massive damage you can make with one shot)
Upgrade your boots to T2.

Final Build:
1 slot left if you played well enough to earn all the listed Items. I Went for clockwork to spam my abilities and with this your (B) skill is amazingly long.

Ofcourse it depends on how the enemy plays, what they build. Optional items are here for what I think are good on her.

Tips: Top

Your (A) ability is made to go through certain enemies at once, but the first one gets the most damage. Keep this in mind when playing her in-lane.

When trying to hit the enemy's laner move to the outside of the minion's and use your ability. This will directly hit the enemy full-on.

Timing your (B) Skill is important in teamfights. As you are a CP Kestrel you cannot use this in close combat. BUT if your teammates play well, you can place an Mist in a bush or certain spot in the lane/jungle and lure them into the mist. Using your Ult or A ability will cause massive damage + Stun.

Kestrel is an offensive hero, who does not need that much defence items. Stop at Kinetic shield or coat of plates will help you enough.
Yet, is the enemyteam doing to much damage I recommend to upgrade your defence item.

Guide to CP Kestrel V1.12 Top

Adrenaline (HEROIC PERK)

Whenever Kestrel lands a basic attack, she gains attack speed and reduces the cost of her abilities. This stacks up to 5 times and and wears off after a short time.
GLIMMERSHOT

Kestrel fires an arrow, landing an armor-piercing basic attack on the first target in its path. The arrow then pierces through, dealing crystal damage to the target and other enemies behind it. Kestrel can keep several arrows in reserve. After a duration without using her bow, these arrows are automatically reloaded. Reload time is decreased based on attack speed.
ACTIVE CAMO

Kestrel instantly vanishes from sight and gains bonus move speed. Additionally, she leaves an invisible phosphor mist at her location, revealing enemies as they walk through it. If Kestrel deals damage to an enemy hero within the mist, the mist will detonate, damaging and stunning all enemies within its area.

Kestrel’s basic attacks reduce the cooldown of Active Camo. However, Active Camo cannot be triggered while Kestrel is taking damage from an enemy hero, putting it on cooldown. The length of time Active Camo is disabled is reduced by bonus weapon power.
ONE SHOT. ONE KILL.

After a delay, Kestrel fires a single arrow across the fold, impacting on the first enemy hero, large creature or structure in its path. When this hits an enemy hero, it reveals that hero and grants Kestrel full Adrenaline stacks. This deals reduced damage to non-heroes.

The base damage dealt by this ability is weapon damage. Higher ranks of this ability gain armor piercing.
