Glaive Catherine was literally made to be a pain in his ass most smart Glaive's will back off as soon as they see you. Regardless of fight or flight be wary of his afterburner ability it's fairly versatile.
5
SAW As with all ranged characters you should be careful about rushing, attack from bushes whenever possible and "use your shield"! Chip damage will add up eventually. But he is very vulnerable while using his Supressing Fire ability very easy to stun or silence.
5
Catherine Although a Catherine vs. Catherine situation is a rare occurrence it's one I've run into a couple times. Engage and Analyze if you don't think you can win back off and if you are winning be prepared for a chase most players will have many mobility items especially late game.
5
Ardan A lot like fighting a Catherine look out for buffed allies and if he throws up the gauntlet use your Stormguard ability and fight I find it often with go in your favor.
5
Ringo His range is annoying but as long as you don't bum rush him you will be fine. Try to keep enough energy to counter his ult. with Stormguard it will make it damn near useless.
5
Vox A pretty basic long range hero with a dash attack to look out for. Not a threat if dealt with before he can get his resonance damage up.
6
Fortress If level six or higher 1v1 can be difficult with bleeding damage try to stun 'n' gank if possible, if not look out for his ultra.
6
Joule Longer range melee and extremely mobile. Also look out for stun I recommend dodging then counter stunning if possible. If confident you can lead into a gank by silencing her ult. then following up with a stun.
6
Koshka Basically faster Taka. Be wary of using abilities on her or it will increase her movement speed which could lose you a kill or make it impossible to run away. If she uses her ult. on a teammate you can easily stop it with a silence or stun.
6
Celeste As always with long range characters try not to directly engage if possible if not avoid placed star traps and be ready to block ult. with Stormguard.
6
Adagio When ganking I would aim for him first. He heals, increases damage and has a long range ult. His ult. is easily stuned or silenced though.
6
Rona I would treat her as an crasied Glaive. Dangerous damage output but if dealt with swiftly not a terribly difficult opponent.
7
Petal Extremely long range attack and munions that aren't affected by Stormguard make Petal difficult to fight if she gets the drop on you. Would recommend attacking before she can attack you.
7
Taka If he gets the drop on you a skilled Taka can easily overwhelm you. Harder to gank because of his invisibility ability try to silence before attacking.
7
Krul Dangerous in 1v1 because of self heal recommend ganking. Also be ready for ult. it will stun you if not careful.
7
Skaarf In my option one of the stronger long ranged heroes if rushed his Fan the Flames perk will take its toll try to gank and be prepared to take damage from his ult.

Introduction Top

So you're thinking of becoming a support character and are looking up how to be Catherine. Although you're teammates will love you at the end of the day you won't be at the top of the scoreboard for kills so if that's what you looking for you can stop reading this now. But if you are looking to be the reason behind you're many future victories than this build is for you.

Introduction II Top

I've played Vainglory for about three months now and out of all the characters I've played Catherine is my favorite. She an literally change the tide of a team battle and with the right loadout she can soak up ridiculous amounts of damage. Turrets become peashooters, Ringo's harassment is meaningless this is the potential. But she has one drawback and that's damage. As the polar opposite of a glass-cannon (who deals damage it can't take it) she is a turret-less tank that takes virtually no damage but can't dish any out. It's impossible to get around so I thought to myself why not embrace it.

Starting Off Top

Buy your Ironguard Contract and two Halcyon Potions head into the jungle. Being the support its your job to be as prepared as possible which is why your jungleing for profits but you can't forget about you're teammates I often play with friends to avoid this but if playing alone you must keep an eye on the lane and if you see two or more enemies are running up on a teammate or turret you should rush over there. Something to note about Catherine is that she will usually be the deciding factor in team battles and that's something you can't forget while jungleing a greedy Catherine can be the reason a great team doesn't win the match.

The Early Game Grind Top

Your purpose is to get Oakheart and farm to get the Stormguard Banner to make all future Minion & Monster killing easier. This while assisting in the lane and jungle as much as possible, a bit hectic for a support character but the faster you get stronger the quicker your team move up and take break the enemies crystal.

The Mid-Game Rush Top

Your Mid-Game will consist of you getting as battle ready as possible for the eminent team battles in your future. You should make important purchases like Hourglass and Crystal Bit. At this point you will be moving around "a lot"!! Now you focus slightly more on getting your affairs in order. By that I mean things like Gold and Minion Mines with the Stormguard Banner that should be fairly easy then just farm and help teammatesas much as possible.

At it's Core Top

Now you should purchase the very important Fountain of Renewal this item is your key to never running out of health again.(Not that that'll be too much of a problem with this build). You should be able to combine destroyed turret and gold mine profits to purchase the rest of your Core items like Travel Boots and Heavy Prism for some extra speed and power.

"It's the Final Countdown"! Top

Now you should purchase your final items Eve of Harvest,Warhorn, Shiversteel, Journey Boots, and Clockwork this will make you unbeatable in team fights and lead to many victories in the future.

The Endgame Top

I hope this guide helped you with your journey to become a better Catherine player. If you learn nothing else remember this Catherine must be versatile. You are going to have to go from farming, to ganking, to protecting a turret. To do all this you must stay aware at all times and keep yourself prepared. If you remember that you'll be just fine.
