Threat Hero Notes
1
  No Threat
2
Ardan No real damage unless building multiple crystal items. Just beware of his ult and do not be alone in late game because his gauntlet could be fatal late game.
3
Celeste She has MUCH lower defenses than you. Feel free to engage with her, but just feint your movement so her A does not deal damage to you. Stay away from her Heliogenesis early on because the explosion is painful. Do not chase her during late game matches because unless other enemy heroes are on cooldown, it will most likely be an ambush.
3
Blackfeather Since your range is much more than his, just poke him from a distance. Since he is very mobile, it will be difficult landing your A's, but don't let him stack his basic attacks.
3
Lyra Just be aware of her ult and her A. Your ult is unaffected by her B, and just avoid her basic attacks because if she is building weapon, it will be painful.
3
Grumpjaw Not much of a threat.
4
Baron Just stay away from his A because when he spams it, it is very lethal.
4
Alpha She's annoying because of her sustainability, but otherwise just maintain your distance and poke her till she must retreat.
4
Adagio His slows are dangerous if you are caught off guard but he is usually manageable.
4
Vox If he builds weapon, just build a counter by building shield items.
4
Skye She is very mobile, and hard to target, so place a goop to slow her and spam your A on her if you are going offensively. To be defensive, just poke her till her health is low.
4
Ozo Kind of annoying, just try to target a goop in path so he cannot move around too fast.
5
Skaarf Skaarf can be dangerous, but it all depends on the skill level of the player. Take advantage of the squishiness of Skaarf and use the goop to put Skaarf in an awkward position.
6
Fortress Fortress isn't that big of a deal unless he is building crystal and he's not a captain. Fortress is just kind of annoying, and if you see him, just be ready for a team fight.
7
Flicker He can disappear. If you see him for even a brief second, stay close to your turret. If the enemy team has assasins, call your team to wherever you are for a team fight because you might get taken down and if they are unprepared, your team could potentially pull an enemy turret down after taking Flicker and the enemy jungler down.
8
  No Threat
9
Joule She is dangerous if she is with her team. Her stun is lethal if her allies can follow it. If not, just boots away and stutterstep from a safer distance.
9
Idris Beware of his A if he is crystal, because if it hits, you it will probably hit you TWICE, and that is dangerous. He is mobile, so it is difficult to target him with your A, so stun him and then slow him with the goop and then keep spamming your A.
9
Glaive Just stay away from his Afterburn because he can put you in a bad situation. Also, stay out of his range (which is very wide) because his weapon damage is phenomenal, and you generally have low defenses.
10
Koshka Koshka because her burst damage is intense and a slumbering husk may be enough to counter it.
10
Taka Same as Koshka
10
SAW SAW doesn't have burst damage, but his basic attacks are enough to take you down if you stay in his vision long enough. BUILD SHEILD
10
Petal She's OP. Fire goop EXACTLY where she is sitting so she has to either retreat or overextend.
10
Lance His impale is annoying. Just feint your movements and make him miss, and then take advantage of his delay time.
10
Krul He's just a 1v1 monster. Do not engage alone. If you engage with your team, STUN him so he cannot build stacks. If his team is with him, make him the first priority, but YOU should focus on the squishy laner.
10
Gwen Her damage is phenomenal. Build shields to bring up your defenses to survive a surprise attack from gwen. Otherwise, stay away from her A, and make her a priority in team fights because she has very low defenses as well.

Item Choices

INTRO Top

There are two builds, one "offensive" and one "defensive"
Defensive does not mean defensive items! It just means you are playing around the edges. Offensive means you can risk diving into the fray and actually survive

Early Game Top

If you are going to the jungle IMMEDIATELY for the health monster in the middle, pick a crystal bit
Crystal Bit , an energy battery Energy Battery , and a flare Flare. Join your team on your bush next to the monster and when you want to know where the enemy is, use the flare. Keep in mind if the enemy laner is NOT in jungle, they will gain more CS than you and you will need to find a way to keep up with the CS loss.

If you are NOT going to jungle, pick up TWO crystal bits Crystal Bit and a halcyon potion Halcyon Potion. Take advantage of the pre-minion lane time to hide in enemy brush to see where exactly the enemy is (but DO NOT OVEREXTEND)
Focus on last hitting, DO NOT spam the A ability UNLESS you are facing a laner who is trying to push the minions towards your turret. If this is the case, take advantage of this and force them to overextend and take them down with a planned captain-carry attack.
HOWEVER, if enemy laner or team is dangerous early game (SAW-Joule-Catherine,Adagio/ SAW-Glaive-Catherine, Adagio/ MANY, MANY MORE), DO NOT let them push minions!! Spam your A and B ability to maintain minion extension, but make sure minions or heroes do not cause too much damage onto your 1st turret.

Mid Game Top

    You should have a shatterglass
Shatterglass and clockwork by now. DO NOT rush the shatterglass; buy tier two items for crystal bits, energy battery, and hourglass, and only when you have about 2300, enough for BOTH shatterglass and clockwork, only then buy them both.

Check the scoreboard. Check out if the enemy is buying light shield or anything that might reduce your damage. If a laner or squishy jungler is buying shield, focus on a broken myth so you can target them in late game. After this, DO NOT buy offensive items. As a skaarf, you can very easily be bursted down. Start upgrading your boots and reflex blocks to be able to protect yourself. More often than not, just get a slumbering husk Slumbering Husk.
Just a reminder, keep one item space open for flares, scouts, and infusions. You will play games where the captain does not buy support and vision items, and you, (hopefully) being the squishiest in your team, should be well aware of where the enemies are.

Late Game Top

If you are done with your build, Late Game is your time to show off! Let your captain engage in team fights, kill stray enemy heroes, and be vigilant! Play wisely, take advantage of your benefits and play smart. Know when to take risks as a squishy hero that Skaarf is, and if you know will go down, try to make it even by taking down an enemy hero with you. Buy infusions (get weapon infusions too, especially if you are building crystal so you can amp up the fan the flames perk) and enjoy!
