 Adagio In the early game you should try to avoid him because of his heals and slows. After you build Crucible and the Fountain, feel free to fight him head on. If he is in the lane, attack from the bushes and use your B. When he runs, only chase him if he is low or you have team mates with you. Your damage is a little low until late game. However he won't even be able to hurt you if you avoid his ult.

 Catherine This champion is not difficult to beat. Her shield works best against high damage output, but you slowly damage enemies instead. Just tank her while she uses the shield and then let your team step in and kill her.

 Glaive Glaive is usually an easy fight for Fortress. When he tries to knock you into the turret, just use your A on him and leap away from it.

 Taka Taka is usually an easy fight because he is so squishy. You have so much health and defense that he can barely damage you. When he engages, ult to get the attack speed and health, then just keep hitting him. When he runs, use A to stay on him. Be careful to avoid getting ambushed.

 Celeste Celeste is very squishy and you can melt her on your own. Just be careful of her high burst potential and avoid chasing her.

 Ringo Ringo's slow can be really annoying. When fighting him, always use your A as much as possible to stay on his tail. Use Crucible when he tries to you and you should be fine. Just don't fight him with it on cool down.

 Petal Petal can be either extremely easy or very hard to fight. If the enemy petal builds WP, don't try to hit and run her since she will get the better trade in damage. Instead wait until minions or your team drops her, then dive in and stick to her until she dies.

 Krul Kruel is extremely good at 1v1 fights. If you are going solo in the jungle, avoid him at all costs. Try to bring a team member with you when you fight him. If he manages to trap you, run into a bush. When he goes to enter it, leap to him with your A and try to get away using boots.

Why Play Fortress? Top

Fortress is my favorite character because of how versatile he is. I've played him with weapon, crystal, support and tank builds, and each one was very good. I personally liked the tank build the most because in late game you can literally stand in front of a turret and take hits for 10-15 seconds and barely lose any life. When you do start to get low, just use Fountain and heal up. This allows fortress to not only tank turrets for his team, but to dive low HP enemies and escape by using A on an enemy minion without losing much health.

Build Order Top

The build order for this guide is pretty straight forward. Just follow it in order, and then sell the iron guard contract to buy Serpents Mask. I know it can be tempting to build damage first, but I recommend against it. Fortress has good damage without getting additional items, and what you really want is health and armor. I generally go about 10-2 in ranked games, with the occasional 15 or 20 to 0.
