Background:

I am a Bronze Tier 9 5 v 5 Player. So this build should work for those that are at the same tier or below.

This build is for those playing Support Yates but playing it aggressively.

The key to success for yates is to play aggressively on enemy heros with slow movement and attacking speed.

And play defensively/safely near your turret on high threat heros like Anka, phinn, Gwen and GrumpJaw with high mobility and is able to debuff your abilities.

Key tips when intending to play Yates Top

1) Always aim to ban heros with high mobility and immune to abilities such as Gwen and Phinn. Don't play Yates if you are against these heros.

2) When playing yates, use your ultimate ability only when you see enemy hero is approaching to close to your turret and is at half health. This is to ensure guaranteed kill. When you teleport, immediately active your B ability to stun them instantly, and follow it up with your A ability for another simultaneous attack.

3) Always signal to your laners that you are teleporting and get them to get ready for a gank.

4) Always find opportunity to use your A ability on enemy hero when they are close to your turret

5) You can also immediately use your atlas when your activated your Ultimate if you are going against high attack speed heros

6) To create a Combo attack, try to position yourself where you will get a clear shot at the enemy hero. Once you are in position, activate B ability and immediately activate A ability and then end it with countless strikes of melee attacks.

When to choose what Situational items Top

Your 6th item should be based on the following situation:

1) If facing high attack speed weapon build heros (E.g: Krul or Rona): Go with Atlas P

2) If facing hero with slow burst effect abilities (E.g: Arden, Ringo or Adagio): Go with Crucible to block their ultimate. As these hero's ultimate tend to be slow and predictable. Easier to block them hence worth getting Crucible.

3) If you constantly get ganked, overwhelm or face high burst hero (i.e: they are equipped with tyrant or tension Bow): Go with Slumbering Husk

Early game situation item (Tension Bow):
Towards early game, if you realize your team is aggressively being pushed by enemy team towards your turret, consider getting Tension Bow and pair it with your "A" ability. Time it properly to pull them near to your turret. 75% of the time you will kill most enemy hero if you pull them successfully into your Turret's range during early game as the damage incurred by your Tension Bow with your "A" ability will add up into a huge amount of damage.
