SAW Dangerous if you get blasted with his canon. Watch for his rapid fire in lane and once he is is cool down go in for the kill.

Krul If Krul moves to the lane and uses dead man's rush just you your [A] ability and move backward. You will hit him with crystal damage and get away from his rush. If you are in the Jungle and encounter him don't fight head on.

Taka Low-health threat to snipe you.

Vox An opposing Vox could be an issue if you are building crystal and he is building weapon or vice-versa. Build your defense accordingly.

Petal Petal's range and pets can be an issue esp when they start blowing up. If Petal is in range use [B] ability to take out her ankle bitters and pods.

Ringo Ringo's ankle shot and fireball are a lethal combo. Try to pop a potion if you get hit with a ankle shot because he is coming for you.

Skaarf Skaarf and Vox share a lot of the same kill tactics. Good Skaarf players will fireball first then hit with goo, if you get that combo start moving because each hit after that extends the burn time.

Koshka When Catherine moves in for a stun and Koshka uses her ultimate it almost always = kill. Watch for the combo of the two

This is my first build guide. Enjoy!

Slow starter but a beast by end of game (Lane build) Top

This build requires patience, taking a few kills and playing pushing the lane hard. Focus on farming and getting as many minion kills as possible by the 6min mark. Don't recall the first time until you are out of crystal power. If you prefer you can swap the crystal bit to start with an energy battery so you can stay in the lane longer without recall.

The emphasis on this build is utilizing Vox's ability to pass crystal damage via resonance early game and rapidly clearing minions to get gold. Once you have both [A] + at lvl 2 jump into the middle of a minion swarm with [A] and as you are jumping in hit and then start bouncing normal off until you clear the swarm. If a hero is in range you can move out to safer grounds but get attacking.

The reason I build to aftershock first is to help increase Vox's HP regain and pass crystal damage + life steal. This helps keep you in the lane longer and recharge your CP ability. Eve after that to cap off the crystal power and energy recharge + reduce cool down time. Once you have both CP start building for hero kills, turret takeouts and Kraken with Breaking Point and Bonesaw.

I don't focus on Defensive items heavily until mid-end of game. With Vox's ability to recharge HP + your crystal items, you almost always have to be double or triple teamed to take a kill, and if that is the case no matter how much defense you have it won't be enough to stop the kill. I mostly build a defensive item toward the end so that once we hit the other teams base I can stay in longer and take out an opponent that is fleeing behind a turret or into their base.

End of game you should have at least 7 kills + 80 minion kills and around 7-10k in gold. You have to be smart and fast and be patient. Watch for opponents with low health in range and unleash Vox's ultimate for a cheap kill.

Roam (Build) With Caution Top

I have only played this build a few times and I would highly suggest having a Krul or Taka with you to help buffer pure jungle heroes. This build really requires you to help push the lane and then move back into the jungle and assisting your jungle hero take out other heroes. The goal here is to focus on building to help your team take the Kraken and then push the lane once you have captured the Kraken.

Since Vox deal's crystal damage with resonance you will want to build some CP, but since you are going to stay in the jungle more your resonance doesn't matter as much since you are mostly fighting a single minion or double minor. If you can leash the minions close enough together you can sometimes get a triple minion... try it, it's pretty funny. Of course doing that you are going to piss of your jungle player from building gold.

As far as threats ... I haven't given any detail as I think it speaks for itself. In the Jungle the Jungle heroes are going to have an advantage, esp early game, and the lane heroes won't be much of an issue if you are darting in and out of the lane. If you need you could always sub one of the end of the game WP for at CP item like Frostburn or Broken Myth.

Final thoughts... Top

Vox is a versatile hero if played right. Even with a lane crystal build you can hop into the jungle and take out minion miners and even the gold miner if you need to. The biggest challenge is that you have to be accurate and make fast decisions. He is not a beast nor does he have the death blow strike of Taka so if you are going to fight in the Jungle or snipe from the lane bushes you need to be smart about it.

I have played Vox quite a bit since release and enjoy playing him. He can easily carry the team and clear the lane, and at the end of the game when teams start to clump up his resonance really gets lethal. I look forward to trying out new builds and your builds.
