Threat Hero Notes

2
Adagio No big deal. Use X-Retsu to apply mortal wound and halve his healing. Bring Reflex Block to cancel stun and use Kaiten in time to cancel ult damage. Be careful of WP builds, use your burst as your advantage.
2
Ardan Tank, prepare to get locked in Gauntlet, use Kaku while waiting for Gauntlet to go down or Reflex Block to go out of Gauntlet. He is never alone.
3
Catherine Tank, use X-Retsu while she is chanelling her ult to dodge. Avoid her stun, if you see her dashing to you, prepare for a fight.
3
Celeste Squishy, dancing around her is the key. Immediately flip over her or X-Retsu if you hear "Does it burn?" or when she jumps up for thr ult.
3
Petal She outranges you, once you get close do not let her get away. She is squishy.
3
Skaarf Squishy=sweet. If you see Skaarf chanelling for the ult in a fight. Use X-Retsu to get close and hug the dragon.
4
Fortress Tank, during escape do not use Kaku if nto in a bush because a good Fortress will track you if you're bleeding even if you are in Kaku.
4
Krul Krul's #1 rule, sustain and prolong. His Weakness stacks will only oower CP and atkspeed, not WP. Use X-Retsu while he is in at least half stacks to halve his healing. Bully him if he uses smite and you're still high on HP. He can not sustain that much consistent crits from Taka. A frontal hellrazor is not a big deal, worry about that sword if it's coming back to Krul and hits you.
4
Ringo WP or CP Ringo can unleash a ton of damage to Taka, be careful. Your biggest advantage against him is the element of surprise and your mid game.
4
Vox His range, if I remember it correctly, is exactly of your X-Retsu so he can not really kite you effeciently as much as the other laners can. Save your abilites for gap-closing, chasing, or escaping.
5
Glaive High damage, check his build, if you outdamage him then go, if not use burst advantage. Use Reflex Block if he uses Afterburn. Good Glaives will Afterburn->Ult before using the stun so save that Reflex Block.
5
Joule Pero vs Perk, her perk is her source of tankiness and also her weakness. Use your perk to move to her back while auto-attacking her. Use Kaiten, if within range, to dodge her ult or use X-Retsu.Reflex Block if you're exactly below the Danger zone of Rocket Leap. In teamfights, wait for CP Joule to use her ult if and only if possible since you will immediately get incinerated if you swallow each tick of damage of her ult. Credits to @Shinkaigan for showcasing this let-Joule-use-her-ult-first technique in VGL.
5
Koshka Assassin. Taka is not built to sustain bursts of damage, and Koshka does that very well through her Twirly Death passives. Surprise her by X-Retsu and TB proc then stutter-step her to death, don't be greedy, she can lock you down while you're attacking her within an enemy turret's range. Our WP can outlast her CP.
5
SAW Avoid him if he's fully stacked. Make him pay for using his SFire by fliiping or using X-Retsu to go to his back. Do not fight if you're less than half in HP, he can finish you quick through Roadie Run.

A little note.. Top

Hi I'm zerolimits, from SEA server. I have a same-name guy, his is ZeroLimits, mine is all lower case. Anyways, I'm new to this VGF and just would like to share my opinions about Taka since he fits the meta effectively, and I do not know codes that much since I'm a beginner in VGF. Also, Iwould be updating this when I have the time.

Taka, the stealthy Assassin Top

Taka is by far the only true assassin of the Fold. He has high burst damage and a stealth. I would be skipping the basic information about him, check that in-game.

Gameplay Top

Early Game

You can start off with a Weapon Blade instead of a Swift Shooter if you prefer it and confident enough with 100% attack speed at level 1 and it will also add more raw power to your House Kamuha. In my opinion, avoid early game teamfights, focus on getting to level 6 for your X-Retsu as soon as possible! If your laner dies or teleports back to base, you can visit the lane for extra gold and get your Tension Bow as early as level 5.
**If your jungle gets invaded, counter-jungle immediately if your team can not push back the enemies. Remember when focusing on kills early, you will waste time getting XP for your X-Retsu. To counter-jungle, simply go to the enemy team's side of the jungle. Bring at least 1 scout trap and plant it on the enemy side of the Gold Mine/Kraken bush for vision and early warning of incoming enemies.

Mid Game

Where Taka shines, the time where everyone already have their ults, mid game! After getting your ult and Tension Bow, I bet you have a Tension Bow and Swift Shooter at least. Prioritize Weapon Infusion than Blazing Salvo and do not immediately consume your infusion, save it for the teamfight or for ganks. Lastly make the most of your Weapon Infusion, invade enemy jungle and gank as much as possible and always bring your support with you all the time, ping where you will go. Last but never the least, House Kamuha. ALWAYS ALWAYS maintain your Ki Stacks, do not hesitate to use Kaku just for maintaining your stacks and also hit NPCs to refresh your perk. His House Kamuha is the reason why Taka is powerful. House Kamuha features the newly-nerfed, again, 20% life steal per crit(equal to that of the Serpent's Mask), 25% cooldown acceleration PER KI STACK(surpassing even the CDA two Clockworks provide at max stacks), and WP Taka's source of power- Crits, Taka is guaranteed a crit per 5 seconds and one Ki Stack will reduce it by 0.9 sec., totalling to guaranteed crits per half a second(0.5). Your Kaiten and Kaku will each provide you with one Ki Stack per usage, while X-Retsu gives 3 Ki Stacks per use. This explains the issues of the regular attack even at full Ki Stacks, you might have used Kaiten, which refreshes the perk, and immediately auto-attacked while the perk is refreshing therefore no guaranteed crit that time. I'm straying away from the topic now but anyways, mid game is where [[Taka shines, with credits also to his partner-in-crime: his support.
**If you can't dominate mid game, maybe because of too many deaths resulting to lesser gold, just farm to catch up and reconcile your missing gold. Consume a Weapon Infusion to fill the lack of damage you need.

Late Game

Teamfights. Do not facecheck bushes if you're not in Kaku. This is where most Takas fall off. You will only reach late game, maybe in 22:00-25:00, if you lacked enough pressure to the enemy team during mid game. During teamfights, do not immediately appear, most teamfights we do not have our Ki Stacks at 5 since we camped too long in bushes for our Ki Stacks to survive. Let your support engage, followed by your laner. Wait until the squishiest, most likely the enemy carry, will join the fight since the initial damage outputs of a teamfight is probsbly the strongest. Burst down the enemy squshiest, 3v2 is always sweet. Save your Kaiten and X-Retsu for gap-closing or dodging and since we are WP, we rely in our auto-attacks. Keep in mind that when you're in mid-air by using Kaiten, you are invincible though not against stuns so use this advantage to cancel predictable damages. Use your X-Retsu to apply mortal wound and reduce the healing of enemy team and their barriers( Fountain of Renewal, Life-steals, abilities that heal, Reflex Block, and abilities with barriers can be reduced by applying mortal wound). So in summary, do not immediately appear in a teamfight, nor too late because your teammates may be already escaping if you join too late, to surprise the enemies. You can also use Kaku>Auto>X-Retsu to immediately get 5 Ki Stacks and save your Kaiten to cancel damage or chase.

Conclusion Top

Thanks for reading, hope you enjoyed my first VGF guide for my favorite jungler- Taka. Note that I have not took ideas of any other build guides, these are all based on my experiences as a Taka so I give credits in advance to those peoople whose idea I may have included here! I may have also skipped some parts about Taka and may have a lot of errors so I apologize in advance!

Please do leave comments for further discussion and improvements to help our Taka gameplays become vainglorious! Ciao!
