Build Explanation Top

Krul already has built-in lifesteal and tankiness in his weakness stacks. By getting high crit damage out as quickly as possible, we can maximize this lifesteal and take targets out fast. Most builds have Krul building a Breaking point first, but I find this to make him weak in the early game against monsters and some heroes. Building breaking point early more or less forces you to build armor/shield early to compensate for the weak start. That's why i build breaking point last, or often not at all. This build has enough lifesteal to take out just about any enemy you can stick to one on one.

Build Path Top

Start with 2 weapon blades. This can kill an enemy Krul at level 1 that has built a weapon blade and swift shooter. At your first back, grab boots and start rushing the sorrowblade. Don't build any attack speed until you have the sorrowblade. This will help clear the jungle faster and gank enemies in the lane who haven't yet built any protection.

If at any point you die, build one piece of defense before working toward your next offensive item. For example, If I have sprint boots and sorrowblade when I die, I will first upgrade my boots into travel boots, then build swift shooter -> minion's foot with my remaining gold. Once you have travel boots and reflex block, stop building defense altogether until you've completed sorrowblade and tornado trigger. At this point you'll have 2 open item slots, and you can use them both to build toward tyrant's monocle (if youre ahead in KDR)or split them between six sins and warmail (if youre behind in KDR). Ideally, you can build sorrowblade, tornado trigger, and tyrant's monocle without having a need for a reflex block. But chances are you'll need one at some point, so build when necessary.

At the late game, one you have your core and sprint boots, you must decide to build a bonesaw or breaking point. Simple decision, If 2 enemy heroes have armor, build bonesaw. If one of less have armor, build breaking point. If you finish your full build and the match is still going, REPLACE tornado trigger for either bonesaw or breaking point, whichever you did not build.

Finally, If you are ready to take kraken or defend against enemy kraken, buy a weapon infusion. The built-in armor pierce will make it much faster. Krul can easily solo kraken while your teammates distract the enemy team in the lane.
