Threat Hero Notes
1
Krul Krul is very slow which makes him easy to kite. Throw those vials and ordains and he won't land a hit on you. Watch out for shiversteel though
1
Reim Same weakness as Krul but can output massive damage if you are out of position. In a 1v1 just kite him
1
Phinn Tanky but can't really do damage when going roam. Will use forced accord to pull you in so reflex block it or risk being sent to the afterlife
2
Ardan Has quite a lot of health and gauntlet can put you seriously out of position. Make sure too reposition and steal health or enemy carries and junglers might burst you down
2
SAW Can outrange you as you are melee so use bad mojo to last hit in lane if SAW is going WP. If going CP watch out for early game shanks and suppressing fires
3
  No Threat
4
Adagio Quite dangerous in early game to outfarm him to get ahead in items before picking a fight
4
Kestrel Kestrel's glimmershots are quite painful to soak in or dodge when you waddle so watch out if she is going CP. WP is less effective on Baptiste
4
Baptiste Enemy Baptiste now depends on the team composition, coordination, skill and how good your roam is
4
Grumpjaw Relatively slow and waddles as well but can advance forward with B and slow with A so be cautious
4
Fortress Not much threat except A as it can help teammates rush in so ordain before running or fighting
4
Lance Can be quite annoying if a good roam Lance is played but ordain the carry and not Lance if rooted before fleeing
5
Taka Taka is always a threat to laners but Baptiste can heal himself so he is slightly less dangerous. Use bad mojo in strategic spots to reveal the fox in the box
5
Rona Rona can leap into and out of battles, thus landing skillshots on a good Rona may be difficult. Use ultimate to push her away if shiversteel and ultimate are used. Zone her out with B too
5
Skaarf Skaarf is very dangerous in lane due to immense range of A. Dodge them and before getting soul fragments, ordaining and badmojo it and killing it.Take advantage of how slow the cute dragon is
5
Catherine Stun and silence will definitely be a thorn to the side when going CP so make sure to not get caught out
5
Ozo Has great mobility and can heal himself too. Make sure to not let him get an early game advantage and in a 1v1, stay close to heal from soul fragments and ordain and run out to stun him mid acrobounce
5
Alpha Good mobility as well and can scan far when overdriven, beware of a CP alpha but a WP alpha is less threatening
5
Flicker Slow is annoying as you are already so slow but ordain and run away if needed. Beware if a carry follows up to pick up the kill
5
Petal Frostburn is annoying so kill the munions with bad mojo and stun her with ordain then slash a few times before polishing her up
5
Glaive Only thing to fear is his Afterburn. Reflex bloc that you are pretty good to go
6
Blackfeather Has ranged B and can close the gap between the kiting and killing. Also has rose offensive to escape ordain. Make sure to take advantage of his weak early game
6
Vox Going CP or WP, Vox is a huge danger to you due to high mobility and silencing. Ordain him and burst him down before the BP or BM stacks build up
6
Samuel Has good range in drifting dark. Force him out using ultimate or use ordain and stun him before killing
6
Joule Can leap on you and stun you. Dodge the leap and you are most likely safe. Beware of Catherine and Joule compositions
6
Idris Not bad of a range with chakram and can be invulnerable with ultimate. Keep watch for when he is going WP as it can be difficult with the blink
7
Lyra Healing is annoying and can outrange you indefinitely so ensure you are not caught out
8
Koshka Strong early game, ability to leap, she has many skills under her belt to annihilate you. Do not fight in early game as she will make quick work of you
8
Baron Incredible range and slow from A, overdriven jump jets can get him out of the sticky ordain situation as well. Try not to engage alone
9
Ringo With an A to slow and ultimate to finish off. Ringo is a nightmare to face in lane. Beware not to be caught out. Look out for tension bow Ringos
9
Skye Very mobile and can dodge bad mojo is skilled enough. Extreme;y challenging to get soul fragements so stun her to get the fragments before slowing her and finishing her off
9
Gwen Good damage, can skedaddle away from any stun or fear and tension bow is just annoying, so kite well and keep in mind when her skedaddled has been burned off
10
  No Threat

Game Strategies Top

To start off, Baptiste is very slow compared to some other heroes, so but with a slow and zoning stun up his sleeves kiting is effective with him especially since the cooldown of both abilities are very short. With a CP Baptiste just keep in mind that soul fragments are absolutely of utmost important as with a few broken myth stack and that alternating current, you will be healing a ton. So don't really back out of a fight when low on health. Use ultimate to push pursuers back to buy some time, with eve of harvest you can also heal with bad mojo and then ordain, rush in basic attack and get your health back. Use aegis or refle block if fortified health is needed. Remember with item spikes like the alternating current, you must be an efficient farmer to get it ASAP. Once you have it, if your roam can disrupt escape paths or has zoning abilities, engage to hopefully get first blood if not already taken.

In 1v1 Scenarios Top

According to the threat levels of each heroes above, you can know which heroes are more suited for you to 1v1 than others. That being said it doesn't mean you should always engage and kite a Reim or Krul and never fight a Koshka. Some scenarios will be changed depending on the current situation, if you have 0 soul fragments and are on low health that is good news as you can steal a lot of health with the soul fragments. Koshka in late game also falls off a little so go fight her (she is also quite squishy). Reim and Krul are extremely tanky and if played well can easily catch you off guard with their boots and deliver and death sentence. So the conclusion is to make a good assumption of the state of battle, keep track of their items (if they do not build shield there is a higher chance for you to win so you can engage) and do not over or underestimate any hero in particular.

In 1v3 Scenarios Top

So you are put in a dire situation and your teammates both died and you are left. Assuming you have full build with or without an infusion, again, look into the situation. If you are going with my personal build and there is a Ringo and Catherine, RUN. Ringo can kite you better than you can kite him and add a stun and silence into the mix you got a death wish. If you do have good defence and you feel you are proficient in Baptiste, by all means go ahead. For instance, the trio you are up against is CP Skye, WP Rona and Phinn. (My build) First go after Skye as she can dish out a lot of damage and can kite you back albeit you have no WP defense and a Rona might shred you apart. However keep in mind your ordain and incredible lifesteal and sustain. Ordain the Rona and go after the Skye. If she is a good Skye you might lose the fight because of sheer mobility. But most mobile carries only carry a reflex block until they have finished their build. If Skye is brought low though just go after Rona. Without WP defense you might go down faster than her but kite and kite ad always kite. With WP defense kite when you have full stacks of soul fragments as you can no longer steal health with basic attacks. Now assuming the fountain, crucible, etc. have been used and the Skye and Rona now dead, you can celebrate as a slow lumbering river troll is no match for a scythe wielding mage.

That's All! Top

Hope the guide is useful and if any improvements can be made please share them too. I think Baptiste is a hero with enormous potential but it just has not been found yet...
