Joule is an incredibly flexible hero who can adapt to your preferred position and playstyle. She's viable in Lane or Jungle. Despite her natural short range, she can be used as a mid-range poke-and-harass hero. She can look to isolate vulnerable targets - or jump feet-first into teamfights and scramble the wits (and health bars) of opponents.

P.S I like to use her in Roam.

This is a basic build for Joule. It focuses on building up her basic attack damage for that quick kill after you jump and stun an enemy with Rocket Leap and use Thunder Strike. This is because Joule's skill have a high chance of missing. This build is meant to be used in roaming but works well in jungling too. The purpose of buying the Ironguard Contract is to ensure that you earn fast enough to buy the required items therefore getting an edge over your opponents. I will advice you to buy Heavy Steel before getting Tornado Trigger if you actually want to go in for the kill, as attack speed without damage is not recommended, it is the same with critical damage. The Scout Trap is optional. Tension Bow is to give you extra damage while ganking. The Serpent Mask is to allow you to stay alive longer. The reason I left the late game build incomplete is for you to decide which items to buy, though I highly recommend you to build offensively whether weapon, crystal or hybrid.

Tips/Advice(IMPORTANT):
-If this build does not work for you, don't use it!
-Let your jungler last hit.You need the cash more.
-Only start ganking when you get Rocket Leap
-Prediction is important
-When facing an enemy don't turn your back. All veteran Joule players should know this.Joule's bonus armour does not protect her back that much.
-When facing more than one, accept that you will probably die so deal as much damage as possible.
-Target one enemy at a time
- Rocket Leap has a very small stun range so don't sweat it if you don't manage to stun an enemy, instead focus on getting close and engaging with basic attacks and Thunder Strike.
-Look before you leap. You don't want to jump into the range of an enemy turret.
- Thunder Strike can miss...a lot.
- Rocket Leap is great for leaping over walls while/after escaping enemies
-Keep an eye on the minimap but don't forget to watch where you are going
-When purchasing items from the Jungle Shop be as quick as you can
- Big Red Button has a long cooldown time same as most Ults so don't waste it
-Joule is not that fast, but if you kill an enemy quickly there is no need to chase it + this is another reason to not run if you are engaging an enemy
-The element of surprise can make the game go your way
-Teamwork is the key to success

That's all folks. This is probably one of the briefest guides in here. Feel free to comment whether to point out any mistakes in this guide or if you have questions. Oh yeah, before I end one last tip though it is more like the rule for all games...Have Fun! Joule rocks!
