Taka gains Mortal Strike every 2s.

Mortal Strike: Taka's next basic attack deals 30-85 (level 1-12) (+40% weapon power) bonus damage and briefly gains bonus movement speed.

When Taka uses an ability or lands a Mortal Strike, he gains a stack of Ki.

Ki: Taka gains Mortal Strike faster and his ability cooldowns are reduced by 5% per stack.
  • 5 stacks max.

Insert tricks

  • Invisibility ends early if he strikes a target or takes direct damage.
  • Turrets, Scout Traps and Flare Guns can still see Taka while he is invisible.

Insert tricks
X-Retsu
Slot: C

Taka bursts through his target for massive damage and gains Ki Stacks. The target suffers a mortal wound (reduced healing) and takes damage per second for the next 3s. The wound's duration is refreshed whenever Taka Mortal Strikes this target.

Breakdown
This is my build I strictly follow for Taka, this build has both burst and sustained damage which makes Taka an insane jungler.

The main goal is to starve the enemy team by gold and make them crawl back up to the lane.

Build Breakdown:
  • Early Game: For you starter items, get Swift Shooter and 2 Halycion Potion, immediately invade enemy jungle, and get Kaku as your first skill. After you reach the jungle shop, you'll get enough gold to buy 2 Scout Traps. Place one Scout Trap at the Tri-Bush to have vision and carry the last mine in case of an early team fight. Steal the two jungle creeps and run back to your jungle, after that buy another Swift Shooter and Weapon Blade. Invade enemy jungle as much as you can, make them crawl back to their base and lane is your main goal. Steal as much jungle creeps as you can, as you see yourself outnumbered, just juke them and farm back to your base. Your first item will be Tornado Trigger with your guaranteed crits you'll have a very fast jungle clear time.

  • Mid Game: Now your goal is to rush Tension Bow, using the same technique, invade, farm, enemies come near, run back to your side of the jungle, you can get Tension Bow in no time, after you get Tension Bow. Next item will be an Energy Battery or a Void Battery, this will be required since you will use Kaku at times to keep your stacks maintained. Get boots tier 1 or tier 2, depending on your budget. In team fights choose and time your skills wisely. Don't just rush in and hope to kill someone in a snap. Try to wait for your enemies to use their bursts in to your tanky allies. Proper skill distribution can save your teammates. X-Restsu their tanks and basic attack the squishes. With you crit strike healing-passive combined with speed you can outlast any squishy in a 1vs1. Don't use Kaiten as an initiator! Wait for their ultimates or other bursty skills. Get Frostburn when you have enough gold.

  • Late Game: Next item is Aftershock combined with Tension Bow, you can have huge bursts when timed. Remember your other Swift Shooter? You could either finish it off with another Tornado Trigger or Tyrant's Monocle, Bonesaw for more damage per second.

Build Top

Attack speed should be your first item so you can stack your heroic perk faster. With granted critical strikes every 2 seconds, you should be able to clear the whole jungle in a minute or less!

This item will increase your hit and run damage. The bonus 180 damage and instant invisibility, they won't know what hit them.

Keep your enemies close, keep your besties closer. We get this for the energy recharge and its passive slow. Enemies will have a hard time running away from you.

Holy frick frack! Deal 10-20% (based on level) slice damage and 50% lifesteal by your basic attack after using an ability! A combo of Tension Bow+Aftershock+Kaku will definitely surprise your enemy on the first hit. You can also proc it several times, be it has a 2 second cooldown. Don't go apeshiz with your skills.

Insert cool story here

Oops! Messed up the code, I'll fix this tomorrow! I'm sleepy Z_Z Top

OUTPLAYING WITH TAKA Taka is a melee/assassin hero that uses critical strikes, lifesteal, juking and stealth in his skill set. A complex hero that requires a lot of timing to deal and avoid damage. Keep in mind that you'll need to use different approaches and attack patterns to have success in using Taka.

Here below I will explain how to exploit all of Taka's abilities in the game.
ROBIN THE HOOD The goal is to starve the enemy of gold, make then crawl up their lane and force them to share EXP and gold. When playing as Taka, you should always try to steal as many minions in the enemies territory as much as you can, and farm your way back to base. That's why I prioritize getting a speed item early(2 Swift Shooter) so I can have a faster jungle clear and can stack up my heroic perk easily. Remember that Taka receives 75% of his critical damage back as health, with that alone you are most likely to finish farming at full HP, so that means you won't have to buy more potions or teleport back to base.
MAINTAINING STACKS The goal is to go from point A to point B while keeping your stacks on. This is what keeps you alive and kicking! Taka gains 1 ki stack after uses an ability or performs a critical strike! Keeping the stacks up will be a challenge at early game because everyone will immediately rush down to farm, that's why you should get Kaku as your first skill, this will be used to maintain your stacks while you are roaming. When roaming you should consider leaving the small jungle creep near the shop so you can always have a free stack saver on your trip back.
STEALTH 101 Taka's signature ability. There are lots of ways to use this skill: The main use is for a surprise attack, chase or escape. Aftershock and Tension Bow are the items that'll maximize the "art of surprise", move like a Ferrari hit like a truck on the first hit then run back or slash them to bits. Secondary use escape, players should stop using this skill as a free ticket to safety! As soon as you take the first hits you should know if you can or can't lifesteal your way to winning. Remember that players will buy flares and mines when a Taka is in a game. If you are losing the fight, run back to the nearest brush, this'll trick the enemy thinking that you're already invisible making them fire a flare gun, as the flare gun expires then you use Kaku.

Always keep watch on whoever has a flare gun and scout trap.

One very tricky use of Kaku is infiltration and scouting, you'll notice in mid to late game, players will be missing on the mini map, this means they're planning for a gank somewhere in the brushes. If this happens and you have no room for flare guns, ping your team to hide in your own bush and signal them that you're planning to scout the brushes in the area. If you do have the money pop a flare gun and buy mines. Use Kaku move in and wait for it to recharge then do the same thing in the next brushes. If you know exactly where they're at, close in and drop a mine, to have continuous vision in their brush and reveal mines near the area. Be careful and don't go straight in it because they might have their own mines set.

KAITEN and X-RETSU: More than just flashy moves Kaiten. Taka's juking+reposition move, used for catching up to running enemies, much more effective if paired with a Frostburn, Stop initiating with this skill! It also acts a mini Reflex Block if perfectly timed, Taka doesn't take damage during mid-flight, but burns will still apply. Super effective against Ringo's Hellfire Brew, Adagio's Verse of Judgment, Joule's Big Red Button and Petal's Spontaneous Combustion.

X-Retsu. Taka's ultimate. Used also for juking, reposition, clutch escape and finisher. Has a very low cooldown. After executing the target will suffer a mortal wound that will reduce his healing by a whooping 50% and bleed over the next 4 seconds. Can also be used as a last resort for escape.

THE TRAIL OF BLOOD When being invisible be wary that burns will reveal your position, you'll most likely get from Catherine's shield or Ringo and Adagio's burns.

You can be his worst nightmare or be he can be your worst nightmare. He has a first skill which is can slow, it is also an AOE, avoid going near him when sphe still hasn't used it. It'll also hit while your invisible causing you to leave flying numbers aka "trail of blood". Use X-Retsu to weaken his healing factor. As soon as you see him use his ultimate, use Kaiten to block it.
Do not attempt to attack or burst her while the bubble shield is on. Watch out for ganks in the jungle, she will use stun+silence as an initiator thus making escape nearly impossible. Use X-Retsu if she has a life tank build. Avoid getting stunned, it'll instantly get you killed in team fights. Her bubble makes you leave "trails of blood" when on contact.
Use your agility to your advantage. She takes more damage if she gets hit from behind, plus she loses her stacks when she misses her thunderstrikes. When your about to see here use her ultimate, immediately use Kaiten or X-Retsu to reposition and block.
Assassin vs Assasin. She is one of your toughest foes, since she can be as speedy and as bursty as you. If you can stand the fight long enough by you lifesteal and make her use up all her energy then she's toast. Beware of her stun ability.
Krul is a slow farmer, use that to your advantage, he won't be a threat until he gets his ultimate, you can outlast him early if you spam speed items. In chances you go face to face with him, as soon as he gets his 8th stack use Kaiten to block.
She has the longest range in game, try to close in with X-Retsu and Kaiten as soon as you see her munions about to explode. Initiate with X-Retsu if she is standing on her seeds to reduce her healing factor.
This guy is toast before he can notice you. Use Kaku to close in and basic attack him to death. Use X-Retsu to close back the distance in case he dashes for escape. His ultimate is easily blocked by Kaku but the damage over time will make you leave trails of blood.
When he uses suppressive fire and you're in the line of fire. Use Kaiten or X-Retsu to reposition and flank him. After he's done use Kaku to find a safer place until his spin up stack expires.
