Heavy Harassment and Late-Game Power for Celeste! Top

NOTE: This guide is from 2015, and I no longer play Vainglory. The 2022 update has only changed the color of the guide's text and slightly reworded some explanations.

Before getting into the build, I'd like to showcase a couple of interesting builds created by my friends:

Ardan, by Spudgie: http://www.vaingloryfire.com/vainglory/guide/a-regen-ardan-12091
Ardan, by Strauberryjamz: http://www.vaingloryfire.com/vainglory/guide/a-health-ardan-12434

Now let's get into the Celeste guide, starting with item choices.

Item Choices Top

Celeste is at her best when you use crystal items to buff her abilities.

Clockwork is an amazing item that every Celeste should have. Clockwork reduces ability coooldowns and empowers Celeste with more energy. Clockwork reduces the Heliogenesis cooldown to just one second, and reduces Solar Storm's cooldown to just 45 seconds. That allows you to fire your ultimate every minute!

Shatterglass is a tier three crystal item that gives you more power for your abilities. Combined with Clockwork, Shatterglass is unstoppable. With heavily reduced cooldowns and extra damage, you'll be killing enemies faster than ever!

The last item is Broken Myth. The reason why I like to use this item is because it does more damage, especially in team fights, and if an enemy is countering you, with let's say, Aegis, the Broken Myth does more damage, almost rendering the shield useless to the rest of your items.

Abilities Top

Next, let's talk about your abilities.

Ability Combos

A + B + A is a common ability combination. How does it work? Heliogenesis does a bit of damage, while a sudden Core Collapse stuns your enemy and adds more damage. To finish them off, fire another Heliogenesis.

Very similar to A + B + A, A + B + C is very common in 1v1s to finish off your opponent or to initiate and finish team fights. Heliogenesis does plenty of damage, and Core Collapse can even stun the entire enemy team at once! Solar Storm is used for initiation of a team fight, bringing enemies to half health most of the time and making for an easy ace. Solar Storm can also be used to finish a team fight, and kill anywhere from 1-3 of your opponents.

Learn Your Abilities More!

Heliogenesis is your first ability, and I recommend learning it and upgrading it at level one. Heliogenesis is used to harass enemies, bring them to low health, and to finish them off! You know how to do this if you read Ability Combos. This ability can also be used to uncover hidden enemies, like a Taka or a Koshka waiting to gank you from the underbrush.

Core Collapse is your second ability, and I recommend learning and upgrading it at level two. This ability can do everything that Heliogenesis can do, however, it has the ability to stun enemies in its range. When a foe is stunned, it can allow you to finish them with a Heliogenesis, a Solar Storm, or let your teammates finish them off.

Solar Storm is your third ability, also known as your ultimate ability. It can be used to initiate team fights, finish off a low-health or fleeing enemy, and secure or snipe the Kraken. It is extremely powerful, and I highly suggest you overdrive/max this ability. It increases the amount of stars fired, and will do more damage, especially with your Shatterglass!
