Threat Hero Notes
1
Joule Until you'll get hit with her ultimate, she is not threat at all.
2
  No Threat
3
Krul He can do nothing until you are keeping distance.
4
Ardan Celeste's father isn't big threat for her except the situation when he forces her to stay at home with his ultimate.
4
SAW He is too slow, so can be trapped with your skills perfectly. Yay!
5
Catherine I can't find her dangerous -- Core Collapse will stop her advancing, and her natural tankyness is all about weapon defence, not crystal.
6
Celeste Don't let her stun you with her Core Collapse or you'll die. And Celeste's great damage and range of her first skill can be a danger for both of them.
7
Adagio I can't say something specific about fighting with Adagio. Well, he can replenish his health and deal big damage from the distance -- that makes him a strong enemy.
7
Skaarf He is a Mage too -- so everything will be about who will better land his skill.
8
Koshka Well, she can kill you very fast. Core Collapse will stop her, of course... But I'm not sure that it will give enough time to destroy her or to run away.
8
Petal Although Core Collapse and Heliogenesis can kill her fast, she can outdamage Celeste with her munions with ease.
9
Glaive His Afterburn is probably the worst thing for Celeste in the whole game. He is not VERY dangerous in general, but Afterburn will make Celeste a nice little dead girl.
9
Ringo He is too fast to get trapped with Heliogenesis or Core Collapse -- so you can't do anything in general.
10
Taka Use Crucible immediately after he will land his first skill. That probably won't save you anyway, but at least you will have a try.

Introduction Top

Everything I will say is a sight from "The hotness" rank, meaning I am not sure that this guide will work for mature players.

Some things and advices may look very strange. Then simply try them by yourself -- they usually work a lot better than it seems at the beginning.

Items in every category are listed in the order you must buy them. So, for example, you need to build Frostburn earlier than Crucible.

About Celeste and her roles Top

Celeste...

Celeste is a natural Glass Cannon -- her health is extremely low, while her attacks are mighty AoE-spells with a good range. However, they are non-target, so you must be accurate while using them. Her spells help her to farm minions very fast, not only on the lane, but in the jungle as well.
Also, she is pure Crystal hero, so can be easily countered with Aegis -- but with her second skill AoE-stun and Frostburn slowing she will be an awesome help to team's damage dealers even if she won't be able to deal damage by herself.

So. She is a powerful hero with great abilities -- but currently she is the most hard-to-master hero in the whole game.

...And her roles.

She can be carry, nuker, initiator and/or disabler.

Carry: she is a very powerful damage dealer with abilities to chase fleeing enemies with ease, and she is great in teamfights. If she will hide behind tank's strong back, she will be able to destroy the whole enemy team with the right abilities' timing. Ideal parts of the build: "VS Shields", "Dominating", "Attacking", "Mixed Role".
Nuker: both Heliogenesis and Solar Storm can deal great damage if she will go full CP. Ideal parts of the build: "VS Shields", "Dominating". I also recommend maxing Solar Storm instead of Core Collapse.
Initiator: after buying Frostburn and Shatterglass her ultimate will deal big damage and will slow down enemies very much, making this skill a perfect way to initiate a teamfight. However, don't try to start with Core Collapse -- enemies will dodge it earlier than it will land. Ideal parts of the build: "VS Shields", "Dominating", "Mixed Role". I also recommend maxing Solar Storm instead of Core Collapse.
Disabler: her main role if you don't go in full crystal -- or if enemies built Aegis or other shields. See more in "Skills" section. Ideal parts of the build: "Defending", "Supporting", "Mixed Role".

Items Top

I suppose the "Items Choice" category is quite understandable, but I'll still explain some of this choices and make some notes.

Frostburn will slow down not only if you catch enemies by Heliogenesis or Core Collapse but if you attack them with the basic attack as well. Definitely must be the first item.

Clockwork is almost must have item -- you can spam you first and second skill with them. Using Heliogenesis twice deals ton of damage and Core Collapse is great in teamfights.

Fountain of Renewal is a great choice if you want to defend (I mean in any way), because you have a small amount of HP even with Crucible, so this will heal you a lot -- around 1/4 of HP, -- and the passive is awesome as well.

Eve of Harvest and Alternating Current are nice offensive items -- but only after you will buy Shatterglass. Eve of Harvest will make you (especially with other things for attacking) healing very fast -- I was even able to solo Kraken with it. And Alternating Current will add really good amount of damage (around 100) to your basic attack and also will speed it up, making it quite more deadly.

You should not buy Atlas Pauldron for defence against WP because you must keep distance and this item is working only in close range.

Skills Top

Little spotlight on Celeste's skills.

It is really hard to hit with the first usage of Heliogenesis (if your enemy is a hero, not a creep), but the second usage of it on existing star will deal enormous AoE damage -- so your enemies should avoid your small stars, which is awesome for keeping distance. Cooldown and energy cost are VERY small, so create stars with generosity.
Also it is the best way to check bushes because stars grant vision. Simply put them in bush and you'll avoid gank.

Also hard to hit. Don't rely on this skill until you'll get Frostburn. In teamfight, use it on the melee enemy heroes or on the group of enemies -- it will work nice. Also great in fleeing -- simply put it behind you, in chaser's way -- he will get trapped.
This skill worth maxing more than the ultimate -- +0.5 seconds of stun and almost twice less time for recharging can make a great difference, while +560 damage of Solar Storm will likely be weakened with enemies' shields (don't forget that everybody receives shields naturally every level).

Well... I will say only two things about Solar Storm:
1. You can choose it, then move camera using minimap, then hit in the place exactly you need. Great for helping teammates from the base -- if you will be fast enough.
2. It is a bad idea to steal Kraken from the base -- you will deal only around 300 damage AT BEST, so you'll simply waste this skill.

Conclusion Top

This guide is not totally ready, so I'll update it soon.

Just keep in mind:
1. Celeste is the hardest hero to play and needs much time to master.
2. She can be both main damage dealer or DD's helper (not support).

Please feel free to ask questions or to correct my mistakes.
