The Intorduction to MultiMode Celeste Top

Welcome to a new type of guide, a guide where we do not focus on 1 option, but look at being versatile.

So you have stumbled here in order to learn about either how to begin using Celsete or maybe come to pick a more diverse use for her, either way this guide will take you through a detailed explanation of what I have tested and found that works best for a Celeste player who is not fit into one category, being pure crystal. This build ensures you have the best range early off with your ability Helliogenis and you get the most use out of all your items and abilities towards the mid and end game.

Let's get started shall we.

The Starting Items Top

The main reason I have come down to my starting items being the Energy Battery and Crystal Bit is purely because with Celeste you will be using the Helliogenis ability quite a lot. The 2 items are there to help you start the game off a bit stronger, as well as allowing you to use Helliogenis more often.

These two items also lead up to future items as well, so you do not need to buy them later on again, just upgrading them to a higher item will do just fine.

Keep in mind with Celeste, you will want to have a lot of, per say, Mana in order to use Helliogenis more often.

The 5 Minute Mark Top

Right around the five minute mark, you will defiantly want to have the Halcyon Chargers, these boots give you the speed you need to evade or close in on enemies, as well as giving you even more Mana, and a boost to your damage and cool down of your abilities.

The main purpose here is to get the Helliogenis ability to be quick on the cool down, and stronger when placed in battle. This leads us onto my next two items, being the Hourglass and yet another Energy Battery. You might be thinking "heck there are a lot of energy batteries no?" But with Celeste we need to be able to use the Helliogenis ability as soon as possible, and as many times as possible. Which is where the Hourglass comes in, cutting our cool down yet again, these two items are in preparation for your second high class item, the Clockwork.

The 10 Minute Mark Top

So you have been ingame for a while now, starting to understand your enemies as well as your own teammates a bit better, but that should not take you off track on getting your next two new items, the Clockwork and Fountain of Renewal. These two items will drastically help you, Clockwork takes off 40% from the cool down of your abilities and Fountain Of Renewal not only gives you a chance to heal, but your teammates as well if they are ever in need.

Since Celeste does not have a ton of health, the second item really does give you almost a second chance to fight again, allowing you to heal 2.5% of your total health every second after 5 seconds of no damage, and has the power to heal your team. For this item to be the most effective, try to heal you or your team when people are low on health, this gives them an overall bigger boost of health, but don't push it, you or they could die before you are able to use the ability.

The Kraken Has Spawned Top

By this point in the game, you should be overdriven with Helliogenis and close to overdriving SolarStorm, so by this point you should be able to get the other new items, being Frostburn and a Void Battery. If in any means you have enough gold, then get the item Echo, upgraded from the Void Battery.

Frostburn is a great item to have purely based on the fact that it can slow down enemies when they are hit by an ability, therefore either allowing you to run away, or catch up to an enemy. This item also gives you more crystal power, which is a huge plus at this point of the game.

Echo is an item that also gives you a huge boost at this point of the game, if it is possible for you to grab this item first though, grinding to get the gold for this will be a bit tough, but worth it. Echo basically allows you to use any ability again, with no cool down. This means your nearly overdriven SolarStorm can be used twice instead of a 45-+ seconds of cool down. This gives you the ability to induce HIGH DAMAGE to either the kraken, or the enemy team.

The End Game Top

By the end game you should have all the items on the list, this will make you one powerful Celeste, yet versatile. The last item on our list is Shatterglass, this item boosts your crystal power even further, making your abilities hurt even more. By this point in game, you should be able to use your abilities very often, with slight cool downs, and be able to cause some havoc with your Double SolarStorm combo.

Backup Items Top

The reason I have included these 2 Backup items is because you need to see fit when to use them, or switch them in with something you already have. The two items are Crucible and Tornado Trigger, but if you ever do need the backups, you'll have to choose wisely which other item to get rid of.

Crucible is an item that really shines, like actually makes your whole team almost invincible for around 2 seconds. This item really can be great if used at the right time, and could save your team being Aced or maybe save yourself from being killed, yet it also gives you an additional 600 health, which is loads. The only downside to this item would be using it in a match with Krul, since he steals life when he hits you consecutively, meaning more health on you, more health for him, quicker kill. };)

Tornado Trigger on the other hand is an item that can be used whenever you seem fit for it, the main purpose of this item is to increase the speed of your basic attacks as well as making it cause more damage, which in Celeste's case would be great since her basic attack allows her enemies to be seen for 1.5 seconds even in bush, allowing her to possible attack multiple enemies and see them as well.

Using Your Abilities Top

Now you should have some knowledge on all the items you will use, but you might still need to learn some tactics with your abilities so here is a rundown of them.

Helliogenis is an ability that allows you to create a small star damaging enemies nearby it, however placing 1 star upon another will create a supernova, which increases the rage and damage of the ability. The over drive gives you a wider range, so you can stay out of battle but still cause a lot of damage from the outskirts. :O

Collapsed Star is an ability that allows you to stun enemies in place for around 2 seconds, giving you a chance to put in the final blow, or run away before they catch you. :3

SolarStorm is an ability when you are able to shoot out 3 (level 1) stars out in any direction, the centre star will go through any and all targets in its way, where the side stars will cause a mini explosion on impact. Level 2 shoots out 5 stars, and Overdrive shoots out 7 (Almost the size of the Lane!!)

Tips and Tricks Top

Finally some tips and tricks on playing with Celeste. The best way to use your abilities like Helliogenis is from far away, or maybe blocking an area, so that when enemies do walk past it, you can nova the star. Another HUGE tip to this ability is using it on brush! This ability allows you and your team to see in any brush for 1.5 seconds give or take, which can show you from a ranged position if there are enemies ready to jump. :D

SolarStorm on the other hand can be very useful for final kills, for example on the Kraken, or on enemies themselves. SolarStorm also grants you the ability to see anyone in the given direction it is traveling in if it does hit someone.

Overall I can say, stick to the outskirts of fights, don't get too sassy with your power, and to always try and stun you enemies before anything bad happens. ;)

Be Vainglorious Top

Thank you, reader, for going through this guide, I hope in some way it helps you, if not, comment down below with a suggestion to change something, or maybe some helpful advice for other new players.

Depending on the feedback for Celeste's guide, I would be willing to create more guides that include the versatility of having different and many items. Just leave a comment if you would like one of another hero, or would like more in general :)
