Threat Hero Notes
1
Skaarf You can melt this squishy mage with a few arrows, with Kestrels agility he can't land many fireballs on you
2
Celeste Just like Skraff, you can melt her easily but be careful of her stuns, close the gap between you and her and destroy her
3
Catherine Your glimmershots can burn through her health but don't shoot her while she has stormguard on or you'll take the damage instead
4
Blackfeather He will get in your face and your arrows will just melt his armor from his B, distance yourself from him with active camo and melt him with your glimmershots.

= 9

This guy as can stop enemies from running away from your glimmershots and almost guaranteed hits on the enemy. He can also stun people with his Gythian Wall and hand the enemy over to you and finish them off. Also when going invisible with your Invisible Camo phosphorus appears under you. Lance can push them into it and then you can just blow them up and do intense damage against them

=7

He can give those speed boosts to chase an enemy down giving opportunities for kills. Also in sticky situations where a Glaive or Koshka chases you, go invisible and get speed boosted out of there with Vanguard and they won't be able to see where you ran off to. Also his Gauntlet Wall can allow some stuns if they run into it allowing you to get some accurate shots into the enemy. Also you can use your Invisible Camo dropping the phosphor allowing a greater chance for you to blow someone up because they have less space to get out of the "bomb circle".

=9

She can give you full heals basically every 5-7 seconds. When you get out of the fight doing damage but get seriously hurt because your squishy as a Kestrel, you can get back into the fight and get speed boosted into battle to finish off your weakened foes. Speed is EVERYTHING. Kestrel can swoop in and out of fights and allowing you to easily juke and confuse your enemy with Lyra, she's pretty amazing.

A little about me Top

Hi guys this is my first build. My IGN is Flamematrix and currently Simply Amazing(Tier 8). Kestrel has been the first ever hero I played when I started Vainglory and was interested of how her kit worked. I though the concept of having 4 rounds of her Glimmershots was a cool concept and can be abused greatly. Although she has been nerfed dramatically twice in these two latest updates I believe she is still viable and contains potential. The thing I practiced most trying to master her was using her ult One Shot One Kill accurately and the right time to us it and aiming those glimmers.

Kestrel- In general Top

Kestrel is a backline sniper who can do great bursts of damage. I play her as a Jungler and harass the carry. Although she is squishy she makes up for it by melting enemy heroes. She can clear jungle camps really fast and agile. Her kit can be used defensively and offensively. If played correctly you can dominate the team easily most of the time. Kestrel is my favorite hero and her mechanics are very unique compared to other heroes(other than Taka B lol). But why choose wp? CP can only do damage with glimmershots but when you run out of ammo your usually screwed. With CP your basic attacks do about 50 damage- LATE GAME. With WP your basic attacks can do a great amount of damage too. With all those crits you can melt enemies and get out of trouble which is why I recommend this build :)

Abilities Top

(A)GlimmerShot: This is the main damage dealer that you will use to defeat your enemies. Although you have 4 shots at a time, usually that will be all you need to kill an enemy.

(B) Invisible Camo: Although you are going wp, it will give you a burst of movement, get out of sticky situations, juke people and blow people up with the phosphorus left behind when activated. Often once you blow them up it's a guaranteed kill, while stunned and taken intense damage from the explosion a few glimmershots will take them down.

(C) One Shot One Kill: This ultimate is by far one of the best in the game IMO. You are able to have your presence all over the map. If your far away from a fight and your team is in trouble with a 3v2 you can use an unexpected ult and make it a 2v2. Also if one of your victims tries to run from you because they have a few health left just ult them and say goodbye. It's cooldown is also pretty short and can weaken enemies and cause them to not want to engage into a teamfight.

Early Game Top

You only have 625 gold so I get two weapon blades=600 gold and then one halcyon potion for on the go which is 25 gold.

3-5 min Top

I attempt to get the sorrowblade as fast as possible to do a good amount of damage against enemies with glimmers and get boots for sticky situations and a little extra speed and an oakheart to be sustained.

5-10 min Top

I try to get Tyrants Monocle fast to do a great amount of damage against the enemy. Travel boots to get a lot of speed and reflex block can help against almost any hero.

Mid Game Top

I start to get defense such as aegis and building towards an armor jacket and get a lucky strike to build towards a tyrants monocle for ultimate crits.

Late Game Top

You have all your damage and armor to be sustained in fights and do hell a lot of damage against enemies. That weapon infusion also packs a big punch and will help get an advantage in teamfights.

Alternate Aggro Build :) Top

Honestly I use this build a lot because I can take down those carries quickly as a jungler and most of the time I'm able to survive with just an aegis. I DO NOT RECCOMEND THIS BUILD IF YOU DONT KNOW HOW TO STAY OUT OF DANGER!
