Vox Playstyle... Top

In the spirit of Vox's frenetic, fast paced, high mobility, high flexibility play style, I decided to pull together this guide based on what has worked well for me with Vox. I hope to eventually pull some video tutorials together as well, and maybe start streaming ;-) that would be fun!

This guide is called Dive is Life, because for Vox (at least how I play him) Dive IS Life! Vox wasn't meant to be sitting around hemming and hawing about stuff! Dive! Come at me bro! You don't want none of this! :-) Vox is a total speed junky. Go go go, let's wrap this up! You have to keep diving at the enemy and then retreating, ideally both with A skill to keep that hybrid damage pressure on... Then, just when they think they've got u beat... Wait for it... (U hit em with dat ult giving serious dmg/silence/resonance refresh) then dive in with A skill, and then B skill to keep the resonance beat dropped ;-). U can single handedly ace enemy teams with this aggressive play style when done right (just be sure to tenderize first before you drop the beat, also be in range of turret for retreat/turret dmg assist as needed, but even more ideal... Just be with your team and don't get separated end game :-P Vox can be very vulnerable to assassin style burst dmg).

Starting off... Top

Ok! Let's go! We gotta wrap this up! Get out of base quick, but not without picking up your starting items. If you do it snappy and gtfo (and don't have a suck slow device) u should be able to make it to the jungle shop just before monsters spawn. Buy a mine, drop in bush near the enemy monster camp and go in quick with a hit, A skill, hit for a 1-2-3-4 punch dropping mini-mon quick and reeling in big bad for a quiet death in the bush. Grab 2 more mines, place one on ur side of the jungle shop brush and clear out ur monster camp in similar fashion. Great, off to a good start, maybe grab some more mines and head up to the lane for some punishment on encroaching enemy heroes.

First Note: If u are engaged, u are gonna be glad u took that A skill. Be aware of ur team mates location and call for assistance if in range either for a quick take down or for surviving a double or potentially triple team. That A skill is also great for diving OUT of danger too while still sending some smack back at em on the way out ;-) Read: u r not Rambo and/or a tank.

Second Note: If u are the only range hero... U will need to either forego this and start in lane, or be snappy about it and get up to lane asap after some jungle fun. Your B skill will make clearing lane a breeze as dmg bounces all over, and if u keep that Dubstep up, attack/faint/attack/retreat, u can get resonance extending your dmg range substantially further then ur otherwise limited base range attack. If u do go straight to lane, in this scenario, u could swap ur first 2 skill points (Get B skill first, then get A skill second). The resume leveling skills as show above.

Roaming... Top

Once you have made it from the Jungle to the lane, done some dmg and feel like your getting antsy... Aww yea! Here we go! Head back to the jungle and start rockin and rollin on some farming/mining, etc... As a roamer it's gonna be ur job to be where the action is, so always know where your team mates are, and be in a position to use your great mobility to get to them quick to support them or get support from them when the party starts bumpin :-)

Dat cool down... Top

This is why we push aftershock ASAP. U need to be in a position to use these skills early and often to keep that fast paced frenzy resonating throughout the enemy ranks like the shock trooper you are.

Dive.

Is.

Life.

If A skill is Very KittyPJs... Why no maxi? Top

U will not be maxing A skill. That resonance/slow on B skill is so much more important to overall success/team fights, etc... As is ur Ult. A skill is all about mobility and pressing the attack while both advancing and retreating which can be accomplished to great effect with no need to take the overdrive IMO. If I was going to max A skill tho, I would probably skimp on B Skill then. Ult can be such a game changer when maxed so I would always max the Ult.

One reason u might choose to max A skill is if u go WP heavy on ur situational items (or if ur all like screw u Crizzly, WP 4Lyfe!!! and u ignore my CP Hybridy goodness outright on principle of the fact that CP is for n00bZ!!! And u are decidedly NOT a n00bZ!) :-P #fuCPisAwesome

If u go WP and plan to dish out that 1v1 punishment, maxing A skill could be a good way to go... But dat team fight tho... Can't prescribe it.

Why are u still here? Top

Go forth and amplify! :-)
