HERO LORE
If you need a mercenary to siege a Halcyon Well, you look in the Undersprawl. And if you're particularly fortunate, you'll find a hulking Grangor brute towering over a card table, dominating (as in all things) based on pure feel, smell and instinct, despite being blind. This is Glaive, a terrifying presence in a cantina, much less a battleground. He's a rarity in these parts, as Grangors keep to frozen climates. Even more rare still is the size and force of Glaive's latest trophy: a crystal-powered axe with a jet engine strapped to it. Such an epic trophy elevates Glaive to alpha male among his race; it also makes him an infamously vicious and frightening foe in the Halcyon Fold.Glaive has one of the most feared abilities in the game: a jet-powered Afterburn strike that will slice through you and blast you back into a tactically fatal position. In team-fights, Glaive's area-of-effect cleave and Bloodsong lifesteal makes him incredibly hard to bring down. Try Glaive first as a jungler, but roam into the lane to rocket enemies toward your allies and turrets.
BASIC STATS OF GLAIVE
- Firstly, we can see here that Glaive's basic HP is so high. That is why I put him in lane, to be tanky and deal some serious damage.
- Then, you should have seen that his basic weapon power is really high comparing to other characters. This will give you a real advantage in lane to harass with auto attacks.
THE ABILITIES.

Slot : A
Glaive rockets in the target direction, damaging all enemies along the way. His next basic attack is replaced by a frightening blast that knocks his target back several meters.
|
This ability (
A) is gonna help you to do 3 things :
- To knock the ennemy into your allies or even under turret.
- To knock the ennemy carry back to focus him in the background of the team fight. You can also knock him back to escape.
- To escape under the walls.
I attract your attention on an important aspect of this ability : you have to use it ONLY when you need it because it takes so much mana and the mana is really important. You can also use
Afterburn to go back to your base safer, by going faster in a bush. Only the crystal power build will help you to spam your spells, definitely. Try to be on an ennemy hero when you cast your A spell, because you give damage when you rocket in a direction, as said in the description.

Slot: B
Passive: Increase critical strike chance and AOE cleave damage of basic attacks.
Activate: Instantly execute a critical strike. This deals weapon damage and is treated like a basic attack, but can deal bonus crystal damage if you have any crystal power.
|
This ability
(B), will let you :
- Last hit the minions aggressively. You can even steal ennemie's jungle minions.
- Reset your auto attack to deal more damage in less time.
You'll usually use this ability to burst the ennemy.

Slot: C
Passive: Glaive will generate Bloodsong stacks from basic attacking or receiving basic attacks. Each stack grants him bonus lifesteal. Activate to swing Glaive's axe in a wide circle, dealing massive area damage based on number of Bloodsong stacks used, but removes all stacks.
|
Glaive's ultimate (C), looks really easy to use, but it's all the contrary! You have to gear the passive : when you can do it and you don't have 20 stacks yet, hit the minions without using your B! You will take more stacks and will have more chances to win the next team fight or 1v1, because of the lifesteal. Always use this ultimate when you wanna finish an enemy hero! Never use it like a ****** before the late game, when you will be able to let the enemy carry have only 1/2 of his life only with your ultimate! :O
