From the Get Go Top

SKAARF is very strong early game wth just his first ability and his heroic perk. Landing fireballs from the brush and fanning the Flames a couple times will help keep the enemy laner on their toes and can get early kills against those who underestimate this baby dragons potential DOT. Get void battery and boots at your first trip to shop, so you can spam your abilities and keep up with your opponents, to abuse can the flames as much as possible early game. Always stay stocked on potions in the early game. Don't push the land alone. Just use your spells to hit the enemy laner and pull their minion wave towards your side of the map. If you are getting dual laner, use your goop on the minion waves (as needed) to keep pressure off your tower.

Dominating the Early Game Top

Heavy Prism? Best value pure crystal item... Take 2.

Void Battery? Nothing is worse than a baby dragon that's out of energy... Again take 2.

Travel boots are a given. Emphasis on fanning the flames again.

Be aggressive igniting your opponent and hopefully they will lose out on lots of potential farm early game. Outfarm your enemy laner and always be mindful of when your junglers need help taking an objective or when your u could snag some extra kills near the goldmine. Try to shop with junglers in the center after fights instead of teleporting home to maximize your presence on the battlefield.

Mid Game Concept Top

Once you have an Eve of Harvest, you can usually stop buying potions. Eve allows you to heal a considerable amount off each ministers n wave you ignite with goop + spitfire.

Once you have frostburn and travel boots you are very difficult to get away from. Landing spitfire + goop + fan the flames is very strong in team fights at this point.

Clockwork is a natural addition at this point in the game, because it allows you to be twice as active. You've already got so much energy and energy recharge that you can essentially spam spitfire forever at this point. Alternately, if you are being targeted and getting killed in the mid game, you may need to purchase tier two armor at this stage instead.

Be mindful of what items your teammates and enemies are building and play the rest of the game reactively from here onward.

Late Game Top

SKAARF is squishy late game and must never be fought alone / out of position! You must stay alive to dish out damage with your team. Choose your final items wisely and stay coordinated with your team to win. Don't initiate tea fights with your ultimate. It's best saved for finishing enemies. If the enemy has lots of stuns, use reflex block, aegis, or crucible's active shield before casting, or wait until your sure that glaive afterburn is on cooldown! Remember you are the king of AoE/DoT and abuse that fire. Good luck out there.

Final note... Use crystal infusions.... If you don't often try them, you'll be pleasantly suprised by their strength / effect. If you can get a kill or two, or kill a tower, during the three minutes after popping one you've done well!
