Weapon Power > Hybrid/CP Top

I've seen many guides that address the power in a hybrid/CP build for Kestrel, and far too little addressing the absolute devastation of a solid WP build. Perhaps this is just my own particular style/taste, but Kestrel doesn't seem very strong with a hybrid/CP build in comparison to a hefty WP build. Nothing you say can convince me otherwise! Here's why;

I've mained Kestrel for quite some time now, and nothing feels more satisfying with super aggressive plays than this kind of damage. With CP, you'll most likely get an alternating current, which is fine, but you're sacrificing 10% attack speed, 20% crit chance and 20% crit damage relative to tornado trigger. In fact, you don't usually get the same kind of grizzly crit damage with a hybrid/CP build. The crit of the WP build is quintessential for securing downright disgusting plays. It also makes items such as breaking point and bonesaw much more effective. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with a nice hybrid/CP build. I've dealt the ridiculous damage that comes from those packages. Nonetheless, I still felt the need to share this guide.

You'll notice I didn't list any defensive items. I main Kestrel in the jungle, and if I'm doing well enough, I can afford to play without defensives. That's why you see the flare in the second spot. Vision is the best defense you can have, and I'm usually never playing without them in my inventory. They're incredibly helpful at maintaining safety for yourself and the team. I still argue with my brothers that defensive items are counter-productive for a hard carry game. I firmly believe that a player should strive not to use them because your goal should be to be in peak performance every match (if you play competitively). I think that if you absolutely must buy them, be careful and consider the purchase. Don't sacrifice damage and gold unnecessarily.

So that's really it. If you like my build, let me know. If not, tell me how you would improve it. Thanks for reading. I'll see you in the fold ~
