Petal - you can kill her pets and those plants - can kite you if she got Frostblade
3
SAW - highest dps (damage per second) - less mobility if full stacked passive - can stun him easyily if he used his A
4
Catherine - can iterrupt Big Red Button - in longer fights you should kill her - tanky if you go Weapon Power
5
Adagio He can kite you but he still has no escape
5
Krul - can iterrupt Big Red Button
6
Glaive - can iterrupt Big Red Button - can go even
6
Taka - unexperienced
6
Joule - if she goes Weapon Power, you should not mess with pre level 6 since she has more dps and you relay on your ThunderStrike
7
Koshka - can iterrupt Big Red Button - can be a trouble early on
8
Ringo - fucking movementspeed buff - annoying since he can outrun you and dodge your spells (he needs to play it well in order to mess with you)

Who am I? Top

Who am I?
Hey I’m PoisonSkorpion,
I decided to create a Joule Guide, because I enjoy playing her and she reminds me of “Rumble”, who is my favourite Champion in League of Legends. Rumble is well-known doing tons of damage against multiple targets at the same time just as Joule.
It’s obvious that the majority of the Community have some MOBA experiences (like League of Legends, Starcraft etc). The famous examples are Ciderhelm and Zekent. For those who never heared something about League of Legends --> here is my referral link if you want to support me (http://signup.leagueoflegends.com/?ref=50c0a92b0ebc9051251859)

The fact that I love the most on Joule is that you can build her in different ways and she will be still usefull for your team. She benefits from every stats and she is naturally tanky thanks to her passiv Heavy Plating. If you want to play her, you have to know which build path you go in different situation and matchups. That’s why I want to share my knowledge and hopefully I can learn something from you since I’m new to this game.

By the way, guys, english is not my native language, so I'll apologize beforehand. Thanks for reading and please comment if you liked reading it or if you want to critize something.

GO AHEAD AND READ! :)

Pros & Cons Top

General Pros & Cons

  • Pros

  • high AoE (Area of Affect) Damage
  • scales with Weapon Power and Crystal Power
  • insert AoE Burst with Big Red Button
  • naturally tanky thanks to Heavy Planting --> Just buy Crudible against Weapon Power
  • can escape easily with Rocket Leap --> can jump over walls --> gonna show how
  • multiple viable build path
  • great jungle clearspeed/easy farm mechanics/great waveclear --> gonna show how
  • Cons

  • all abilities are skillshots --> need to hit them in order to deal dmg
  • can be easily kited/ melee champion (short auto attack range)
  • you have to face the enemy to profit from Heavy Planting
  • you will run out of energy if you spam your Thunder Strike continuerly and if its fully stacked

Full Weapon Power Pros & Cons

  • Pros

  • constant damage output (thanks to auto attacks)
  • higher Weapon Power Scaling on Thunder Strike than Crystal Power
  • higher damage output without Big Red Button than Crystal Power Joule without Big Red Button
  • since you build Weapon Power, you should clear much faster than Crystal Power Joule

Full Crystal Power Pros & Cons

  • Cons

  • you have to hit your Rocket Leap and Big Red Button if you miss those or if you aren't sure whether you will hit or not you should play Weapon Power Joule
  • that's why you need much selfconfidence playing Crystal Power Joule
  • you have less dps (damage per second) since Thunder Strikes deals more with Weapon Power unless you are going to buy Alternating Current and Aftershock
  • less clearspeed than Weapon Power Joule

Conclusion and Thoughts about previous point (Pros & Cons) => Item Top

If you consider those facts I meantioned earlier, you should try to figure out which weaknesses, you could handle and what to do against them. The most important weakness yous should try to handle is that you run out of energy very quickly, that's why you should atleast buy one Energy Recharge item such as Frostburn and Aftershock (I'd rather buy Frostburn than Aftershock; I'f im fed, i'll buy both of 'em). In my Opinion those are the most effecient Crystal Power item's on Joule. When I started to play Joule, I went full Crystal Power and has succes, but it became harder and harder, because the enemies learned how to play against her. That's why I started to play hybrid Joule and decided to buy special items against special heroes.

How to jump over walls properly! Top

First of all, it's kinda hillarious if you think about the range you covered and if you jump over walls your enemy will be speechless, but if you mess up it's awkward as hell. That's why either practice it in a custom game or you just read further and internalize the spots, where you can jump over.
You just need to have enough space, where you can jump at and if there is terrain you won't jump over and [Joule] is just going to try to jump over. Moreover, if you are able to jump over the wall, it's obvious that you can do it the other way around and on the the other side of the map. If you want to practice those jumps go into a custom game and buy Cooldown Accelaration.

Tips and Advices Top

1.) buy traps (use them to deal damage primary early on; later on to reveal the map)
2.) as you can see I'm not in range to reveal Kraken; still have vision on him (usefull trap)
--> will be there till the game ends
1.) you can do these monsters behind the wall without vision (placed a trap to position myself easier)
--> there is no point doing this, because it drains your energypool rapidly and it takes a while, but still good to know

Updates Top

I'm gonna try to add something, if I find something that is important to share with you.
