Joule's Thunder Strike at 5 stacks can kill minions or heroes easily since early game so Hourglass allows you spam it more often, you could upgrade it to Chronograph after pick up Sprint Boots

Stack Scout Trap in the brush it's not bad idea when enemy walking through it

you quite fast regenerating energy point when you get Void Battery, the next is Travel Boots clear jungle is easy job for you so moving faster is benefit

It's a god sent item for Joule, with 50% lifesteal, 30% CDA and affect everything, so you must get it before other items in mid game

Clockwork with Aftershock you get 75% CDA spam Thunder Strike and Big Red Button faster

For this time you have to sell Travel Boots after finish one offensive item and end up with Crystal Infusion instead you will become killing machine suddenly
This is example builds for late game test with Kraken

With 110% CDA from Aftershock Clockwork and Crystal Infusion CD of Rocket Leap become 9s Thunder Strike 1s and Big Red Button 53s

But if you don't care about CDA it's up to you

How differrent between and ?
This item works with Thunder Strike and Big Red Button deals tons of damage because shield piercing
This item works with Rocket Leap and Thunder Strike great but Big Red Button will not piercing shield
Anyway CD is useful but can't be 0, if you need defense just forget Crystal Infusion pick up one offensive item and keep Travel Boots with you then upgrade it to Journey Boots later

Focusing on teamwork
Anti AS Heroes
Similar Crucible But only for you
Works with Heavy Plating anti WD heroes unless enemy has armor piercing items

Allows all abilities lifesteal it working well with Aftershock

If you think lifesteal from Aftershock is enough pick up this for slow them instead

Tricks and Tips Top

It seems to be defenseless build but Lifesteal and CDA from CP items increases survival rate for Joule exellently
