 Petal Avoid her ult. As long as you do that you won't have any trouble bursting her down.

 Adagio His slow could be annoying in the early game. Watch out for his ult, but he should be no threat if you can dodge or block it.

 Rona As long as you can avoid her abilities you will be able to burst her down before she can burst you. If you're taken by surprise and you make a mistake she'll capitilitze on it.

 SAW May or may not be trouble. Just take him down quick.

 Joule Watch out for that ult. Stun her back with your ult if you can. CP is very bursty, which might be a lot of trouble for you. However, if she has no defense items built she is pretty easy to burst down.

 Skaarf Watch out for ult and goop puddles. Take down quickly.

 Celeste Celeste is an obvious threat......without shielding. Her Helios might do insane damage against an unprepared opponent, but all you need is an Aegis or Fountain and you can easily counter her. Be prepared for that mid game spike to her power.

 Glaive Surrounded by good teammates, he is trouble. Take them out quick before he can put up a lot of sustained damage against you.

 Vox A late game character to counter you. Avoid the ult and take him down quick.

 Taka A lot of trouble here. Hard to counter of he's built WP, because he can do damage with abilities and basic attacks. Try to get him in bad positions.

The Build Top

Krul has the two most powerful primary and secondary abilities in the game, but he also has very low ratios. Dead Man's Rush has a 70% weapon ratio and 70% crystal ratio. Spectral Smite on the other hand has a crystal ratio of only 10%. Therefore, building CP is completely unnecessary when you can just build WP for Dead Man's Rush. When weapon and crystal power items like Sorrowblade and Shatterglass won't have a big impact on you no matter what you do, it is best to build attack speed to gain more stacks for Spectral Smite. It's important to gain as many stacks as possible to maximize your damage. Follow up with defense and you will make your presence known in the late game. Krul is the strongest character in the late game, so use that to your advantage.

Strategy Top

Krul is one of the weakest heroes in the early game. Jungle invades are not advised. Try to farm as much as possible to get to lvl 6 as fast as possible. If things are going incredibly well, you might be able to pick up a gank in the lane. However, I would advise you to farm more with Krul than you usually would with other characters. He needs to get a good gold advantage for the late game. If things go well for you, not much should happen until the 15 min mark. Then, you hit your stride right when the team fights start happening. Always initiate with Dead Man's Rush, then wait for stacks to get as high as possible before using Spectral Smite. Use From Hell's Heart to stun fleeing enemies or to cancel out a powerful ult. When this build is completed, you should be doing massive damage to the enemy and carrying your team.
