AFTERBURN
Select Afterburn; while you tap on your target use Twisted Stroke as fast as possible to execute both skills at the same time.
TWISTED STROKE
Max Twisted Stroke if the other team has two melee heroes like Krul or Koshka. Use it as described above.
BLOODSONG
Max Bloodsong if the other team has two ranged heroes like Ringo or Celeste as they'll tend to run away from you.

Afterburn is by far the best skill in the whole game as it stuns, knockbacks enemies, you can escape or engage with it and even go through walls. This gives you great advantage in any situation. Try using it to dodge ultimates and escape through walls when you're low on health.

With a little bit of practice you'll even be able to cancel your opponents ultimate, which often turns around team fights.

Builds and Strategies Top

Starting Items
Your very first item is a Weapon Blade, you should buy a second one as soon as you arrive at the middle shop and check if your enemy got Light Armor already. If they haven't got any, there's a good chance to successfully invade their jungle at level 2, as glaive is very tanky and deals a lot of dmg through the double Weapon Blade.
Mid Game
I recommend to buy a Weapon Infusion once you got Tension Bow. Glaive will deal a crazy amount of damage with his basic attacks and his abilities. Buying Infusions in mid game is always a good idea, with any hero.
Late Game
By now you should already have gotten Travel Boots, a minimum of 1 defensive item like Aegis or Atlas Pauldron and a Sorrowblade. With an Infusion in your pocket, you have everything you need. You are tanky, you deal lots of damage and you have high escapability through Travel Boots and Afterburn - GG.

Outro Top

I enjoy Glaive a lot and won a lot of games using this build. It dominates the enemy team in almost every stage of the game. You can check out my highlight video where I did a 1v3 in VGL.
