Krul Krul is dangerous if you don't know how to play against him. DO NOT sit there and fight him while he has his barrier. Freeze him, back away, and use your Winter Spire from a distance

IN THE BEGINNING... Top

Hi there, fellow Vainglorian! This is my first guide - I hope you find it useful. I decided to write this guide for in-particular because I see people play all the time - and rarely do I see him played right or very effectively. If you want a hero with whom you can help carry your team to the win, try ! He is a frosty Mage who can pin people down, freeze them in place, and freeze any chance the enemy team has of winning!

For me, is all about his basic attacks AND his Winter Spire, with Chill Winds and Valkyrie being used as very effective tools to hold enemies where you want them. AS you whittle down the enemy team and make them SO frustrated that they literally WALK THE OTHER WAY WHEN THEY SEE YOU, you can be confident in your ability to constantly take advantage of fortified health to make yourself EXTREMELY HARD TO KILL while putting out insane amounts of sustained and burst damage in team fights.

In the early game, I always focus on weapon speed Swift Shooter to Blazing Salvo, crystal power Crystal Bit to Heavy Prism (These two items will get you to Alternating Current). Sprint Boots, Energy Battery to Void Battery to Eve of Harvest and personal defense (armor or shield depending on who I am going against). I WILL get Reflex Block if there is a strong reason to (going against stun characters).

Remember - if you have defense, you will survive LONGER and most likely win fights against players who think all damage items is the way to go. I like to build each of my items as I go - don't fall into the trap of getting one tier 3 item at a time. You WILL get wasted by players like me who do a little less damage, but have the defense to last through the fight.

Alright, so you have your core build - now, let's make sure you know how to use it! Let's move through this quickly, I don't want to bore anyone!

So, as I said before, this Reim build is all about basic attacks and Winter Spire with Chill Winds and Valkyrie as awesome slowing and freezing tools to keep you on top of enemies and in the fight. You always want to be melee-ing, stutter-stepping like a beast to attack as fast as possible! While attacking as fast as possible with basic attacks, you are using your Winter Spire as often as it comes up. Freeze enemies in place with Chill Winds when you can, back away, use your Winter Spire (sending it where they are going to be, not where they currently are), and get back in the fight with basic attacks. Remember, your basic attacks slow the enemy AND deal bonus crystal damage over time. That isn't even the best part though. Your basic attacks chill opponents, making your Winter Spire do more damage, AND 50% of the damage dealt with the Frostguard effect is granted as Fortified health.

Why is fortified health important? It absorbs 50% of incoming damage- Making it incredibly hard to kill you! Note: Winter Spire deals 25% additional damage to chilled enemies (applied by basic attacks) AND 35% of the damage dealt with Winter Spire is gained as fortified health. Guess what? Now you are even harder to kill! All the while, dealing major damage with your Alternating Current, slowing them with basic attacks that do DOT, freezing them in place with Chill Winds, and destroying or initiating combat with Valkyrie.

Hint: Valkyrie where they are GOING to be, not where they CURRENTLY ARE. This will apply a major slow, allowing you to sprint to them, freeze them in place, and begin wearing them down and slowing the **** outta them with basic attacks made super fast by alternating current. Remember, Alternating Current does an additional percentage of your crystal power as damage every other basic attack. You just become unstoppable if you play him right. I'm telling you! Keep it Frosty, and you'll be Keepin' the Enemy team DEAD!

Thanks for reading. This is a good start - I will be updating this as I go, but want to get this out quickly for ya'll to use! Just don't use it against me! Peace!
