Joule Moves are rather predictable and usually Reflex Blocks are easier to use against her attacks.. She takes too long to execute her moves.. She won't pose much of a threat on 1v1, but just have to be careful, if the player behind her is cunning.
2
Petal Very high damage foe, only with her little friends.. Spin your axe around and pray they don't explode. Jump in and Split your Foe.. quite an easy combo, all can be done within 10 seconds or so.
3
Koshka Same as Krul, they lose out to Rona for start game because of Rona's faster attack speed. Despite Koshka's twirlling AoE, Foesplitter is more effective.
4
Krul Yes, they too have burst damages, but to keep them at this level, you have to constantly dominate the Jungle he is in. Rona stands a higher chance against this guy at early game, but if you don't own him in the first 5 mins of the game, he will dominate you for the rest of the game. Do not let this guy have his jungle, starve him when he is young and slow. In late game, try to utilize reflex block against his final blow. He fights like you, he knows how to fight you..
4
Taka This guy is slippery, very frustrating to fight especially they go for a semi tank build. DO NOT ENGAGE them if they are paired with Koshka...
5
Glaive If you cannot half his HP in 15 seconds, run... In early game, he is easy to kill, but at later game, especially against tanky builts, this bugger is a time waster. Ignore him and take on his squishier friends.. Afterall, he have a bigger axe.
6
Ardan Tanky, irritating support.. he buffs his Jungle Freaks with shields and such that renders Foesplitter useless. He is a time waster, kill his friends first, then torment him in a 3v1 if possible!

Vox These guys are cowards, they hit hard, and hit far. They silence you from afar and run, and hit you hard and run and hit you again... What more should I say?
10
Adagio Think Vox is bad? This guy fights like him, only difference is that he's got DoT...

270815:
Post-patch sharing
After the latest patch, Foe Splitter no longer biased towards crystal builds, making both 100% ratio.. I am now moving back towards WP with Twin Masks for DPS and Survivability.

This said, I am using Crystal Maiden more for focusing on Minions, Turrets and Mines, and will only engage players if there is good teamwork. Into the Fray is still awesome for Crystals, but will explore more for efficiency until the next update.

Threats
Ardan - Despite him being very irritating, it is best left alone, DPS is usually wasted on him and other glass cannons could take such advantage against us. (As advised by Cheese Ausar & Magnus0, and verified in ranked game)

Special Thanks
Updated the name of the awesome guide by Magnus0 =)

190715:
Item Load-out
I have replaced Light Shield with Hour Glass for early game because I find it rather more effective to go offensive for Rona. With faster cooldowns, Rona is able to clear the Jungle even faster and earn gold towards her next gears earlier. I have also added Bonesaw after reading on Magnus0's guide. (Added more details at the Special Thanks section). This is to increase in the damage efficiency and explores into the WP part to be more effective at for Red Mist.
Playstyle: PvP
In addition to this section, I have to share that Foe Splitter is an exceptionally important skill to kill off high DPS but less tanky characters. I have faced Taka and Cat Girl countless times and got killed the moment I see them at late game. The trick I figured to counter them with Rona is to run away from them (preferably towards your tank) and after a short while, Into the Fray just in front of them, boots away again, foe splitter, red mist. This would work against 2v1 situations most of the time, just remember to go for the squishier one and deal as much damage to them as possible. Timing is very critical and if you are facing formidable ones, prioritise your load out towards the boots first. This will give you slightly more HP and will be able to be more agile in playing tricks and tactics.

Once again, thank you for reading and have fun!

Introduction Top

When I first played Rona upon release from day 1, I thought she'd be awesome to be a WP build, trying to maximise her attack speed with Tornado Trigger, and compliment with high Weapon Damage.

However, I realised that I couldn't solo the Kraken fast enough.. tried life steal with the Mask but didn't seem sufficient. 2 Masks would be nice, but that would compromise the option for other items, more over, Rona's damage have been reduced to 80%, so guess it wouldn't be efficient either.

As I explored her further, I realised Rona to be a Crystal Build based on few discoveries:

1. She kept complaining "It's so hot down here".
2. Into the Fray - 100% + 200% Crystal Damage (and it seems that Crystal Damage isn't reduced).
3. Split the foe relies on Crystal Damage too.

With the above, I felt that going for WP while 2 of 3 skills utilizes Crystal, I think it is obvious she loves crystals over weapons.

Playstyle: Introduction Top

Personally, I have to admit, I am quite new to this game. I have only played Cathrine through the whole time with 98 wins before getting Rona with ICE and accumulated to 139 wins as of now. (I still have about 16k Glory unspent, and acquired Pretty Good (Silver) before Ranked Queue starts, so that should give a rough gauge of my experience.). [

I dare say most of the Wins I got is because of awesome team mates and only loses when the team doesn't know what are they doing or simply being selfish cowards.

My main point is, I have spent all my time and acquired what I have as of now as a Team Player, and I don't see how I can win without supporting my team and vice versa. So when I got Rona, I took a support role, and my main objective is to give the other team as much hell and doesn't mind dying as long as my team members could get the team an ACE or the Kraken.

In short, I feel that to play as Rona, one have to be Fearless, Selfless, and fights with much Valor and Honor, utilizing very aggressive offensive towards the opponent's Jungle, starve them, crush them!

Playstyle: PvE Top

Jungle:
Rona kills fast, and I do mean VERY VERY Fast.. I did Solo Training with Koshka, Krul and Joule, but none of them is faster than Rona in early game. She is able to clear the enemy's jungle within 2 minutes, and Foesplitter is your friend. Having Swiftshooter would reduce its cooldown, and allow you to move on to the next spot relatively fast.

So my recommendation is to start at enemy's jungle the moment the game begins, and hope your other Jungle mate would follow you. Most ideal partner would be Krul, with him by your side, the jungle (both sides) is as good as your team's. Koshka and Joule is good too, and Wolfie is cute to help scout ahead and speed boost. Having them by your side would make life very easy too.

At anyrate, make good use of this advantage from early game to the first 10minutes of the game, and you will get your Mid Game loadout in no time.

Lane:
Sometimes, it is inevitable to go support your friends at the lane, especially when your enemies became too afraid to find comfort in the jungle. Or perhaps, the lane is left empty and the juicy red patch is too tempting to not take it. However, it is only advisable to take it after Level 6 with Mid Game gears. This is to ensure you go in, come out, in less than 20 seconds. Why? The Jungle NEEDS you! =P

Playstyle: PvP Top

I guess many people are very interested in this part of the guide in all the guides. However, I must say you might be disappointed here, not because Rona isn't good in PvP, but more rather, the author (a.k.a ME) is not a very good PvP player. I always tend to throw myself into the heat of battle and deal as much damage as I can, and let my team mates get the kill.

Personally I don't mind not getting the kill count, I just want to win, and I enjoy excellent teamwork and collaboration. I really enjoy the process of being in a team with people we only met for the first time, and we could synergize and syncronize so well and score a perfect win. This is much more satisfying for me than to score as much kills as I can and ignore the team's progress. That's just my personal preference btw =P

Ok, long story short. I don't go for personal kill score, so I cannot share how to make an assassin out of Rona, but what I am about to share, could get you up to a triple kill in a team collaboration PvP, 3v3.

I rely on A followed by B and C and the A to pursue and B to extend the pursue and back to A and B. This is usually used on ranged cowards that tries to kill your team mates from afar. So far from my experience, it is extremely effective against SAW while he is doing his machine gunning while stationary. Just jump behind or side, and do your magic. Upon landing, allow 1-2 basic attack to utilize Alternating Current and Aftershock, then use B (ONCE) to maximise rage then start spinning with C.

When fighting against a group with Petals, try to maximise rage as soon as possible by using A at the largest crowd and B at the largest target then quickly C (Pray that you hit Petal's Minions). This would save your team mates the trouble to waste DPS on useless targets and to weaken high HP opponent players.

Besides using offensive tactics, it is also essential to keep alive in the heat of the battle as long as possible. Preferably exhausting the opponent's Ultimate Attacks (C) on you. The only way that I am able to achieve that is to utilize Reflex Block at the right timing. Not only you save yourself from Stun and High dmg, sometimes with Crucible, you can save your team mates too. I have still yet to perfect the timing, but it does work perfectly sometimes, getting an ACE while your team mates and yourself having more than 40% HP. This is extremely important especially when the Kraken is there.

Conclusion Top

To sum it all up, I must say Rona is a very versatile character with this loadout. She have decent damage in both PvP, and PvE. Keeping a good balance of Movement Speed and Survivability with the Crystal damage is very essential, that is why I wouldn't recommend concentrating on acquiring a single End-Game item quickly, but rather upgrade each of them equally. This would pose a disadvantage at a Mid-Mid game (14-15mins) but from the 17mins mark onwards, it is quite difficult to die, unless your teamwork is sloppy.

Personally, I utilize her damage and combos towards the objective to the game, which is to destroy the enemy's vain crystal, rather than to destroy opponent characters. So my priority in Rona's Playstyle is:

Jungle mobs (to starve enemy jungle chars) > Turrets > Enemy players.

I would only engage enemy players when my team mates are near and in the mood of killing. Otherwise, I'd rather save my HP, stay alive and be there for my team mate when they need support. Getting rich with gold is very important for Rona, and it is relatively easy. If the Mid Game loadout is not achieved in 10mins, Rona is quite screwed, and death rate would be high.

Also, I do not go for Minion Mines, mainly because it would let enemy Lane guys earn alot of gold, and that is usually the reason why your opponents would be so awesome after some time. I really enjoy starving my enemies, so I think you'd get what I mean ;)

Ok, thank you all for reading my first guide. Hope you'll enjoy the Rona I built and have fun always.

Take care!

Unbreakable Catherine - A Comprehensive Guide to a Versatile Catherine by Thorin
(http://www.vaingloryfire.com/vainglory/guide/unbreakable-catherine-a-comprehensive-guide-to-a-versatile-catherine-202)

I feel that I am really indebted to this guide and the author for she have given a great, and comprehensive guide, and made me use Cathrine with much ease, confidence and a clear objective.

Without her guide, I wouldn't be able to enjoy MOBA as a whole, and I wouldn't even be writing this guide.

Catherine: The Support Of Your Dreams by Tombraider

His guide is a tweak of the Unbreakable Catherine guide, and also the first guide I read here. His guide is a shortcut to understand Catherine and I truly enjoy it very much. Without her guide, I wouldn't have came across Thorin's. They are both awesome guide authors.

Read his guide and found faith in dual masks again. His guide made me reconsider WP to increase survivability. A great guide to refer for a better understanding of Rona's fundamentals!
