Starting the game Top

Start with energy battery and a few potions to keep your self both energy packed and health sustainable. You would want to either: Farm to 1350 gold and get heavy prism and boots from the jungle shop(recommended), or farm till 2300 gold(you're skaarf, you farm fast), and recall to get eve of harvest. This item is a must-have for Skaarf, as it gives Skaarf lane sustain with the extra energy and lifesteal. By now, you should be at least level 5.

Building the core (POWERRRRR) Top

Now that you have your lifesteal and preferably your ultimate, you can take on 1v1s in lane or even rotate to the jungle and take on 1v2s. Your next item should be frostburn. Frostburn helps you to secure kills as the ignited goo also slows your enemy down. You should be able to get into lane, goo + fireball and instantly clear a wave, then go back into jungle to help your jungler(s). In the meantime, with the big gold income, try to get tier 2 boots for the extra speed for your ultimate.

Now its time for shatterglass, for that massive damage boost you will be getting. With this item online, you can take out almost half of your laners HP, assuming he doesn't have any shield. It is perfect for Skaarf's kit and it gives him a huge amount of burst/lane poke.

Late game (Kraken/3-man push/team-fights) Top

At this point, you should be dealing massive AOE damage, and with your team's support, can easily win teamfights if you execute your skills correctly. Getting defensive items is not a bad idea, especially if they have a Ringo, Vox, or SAW. Depending on your enemy team, you should consider Aegis or Metal Jacket, but just like any other heroes, Crucible is a must have.

For some extra damage, consider a second shatterglass, and/or a broken myth.

How to play Skaarf Top

Skaarf's abilities need to be aimed, and deal massive damage with successful hits, but of course nothing when its hit. With a little practice, you will soon be hitting almost every fireball+goo.

Early game: Get as much gold as you can and don't provoke or initiate any fights or teamfights until you get your Eve of Harvest. Without an escape, your only chance of survival if you are caught in a tight situation is to count on the lifesteal, basically counter attacking. Farm as much gold as you can, get Eve of Harvest and boots, and you are ready for any fight, with your team, of course.

Mid-Late game: Skaarf after early game is a terror. With his high damage, he can single-handedly ace enemy teams. Use the goo+ult combo if the enemies are grouped up in teamfights, and fireballs for some extra damage. For escaping, since Skaarf doesn't have a form of dash or jump, splash goo on your enemy while running away. If you have frostburn, don't hesitate to ignite it. Lifesteal can pump up some extra health to get you back into the fight, or the slow steals you some time from running. In other words, Skaarf can completely turn fights around.

Skaarf is also a very good Kraken/turret killer. With a form of cooldown reduction, you can actually put two goos instead of 1. With 2 goos, the ignite and burn damage can help you tank and kill Kraken's, or take out turrets from a save distance, I like to call it cooking the turret. Walk up front, drop two goos, ignite em', and walk away.

That's about it, please comment for suggestions if it doesn't work for you or rate if its good.
Practice... Practice... Practice...
Happy cooking :)
