Alpha Watch for his Prime Directive. Place your core collapse directly behind you from where he is and he will immediately get stunned. use this opportunity to maintain a safe distance.
7
Krul Fighting a Krul is simple, let him touch you, you die.
8
Glaive Always maintain a distance in a way where his Afterburn won't punt you to the enemy team and you should be fine!
8
Koshka Ehhh it really depends on how much you can avoid fighting her within the early stages of the game (lv 1-3), if she snowballs, you are done for, but if you can hold back till level 8 OR somehow manage to land all your skillshots koshka is a walk in the park.
9
Taka TAKA IS VERY HARD TO BEAT IF HE SNOWBALLS *BUT* that does not mean you can not beat him! Takas are predictable to a certain degree and with enough celeste experience you can take him down with ease!
10
Catherine IF YOU CAN, AVOID PLAYING AGAINST A CATHERINE AT ALL COSTS UNLESS YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE UP AGAINST. CATHERINE IS A VERY STRONG COUNTER TO CELESTE UNLESS YOU CAN SHUT HER DOWN EARLY.
10
Blackfeather A skilled weapon blackfeather can send you right back to the galaxy you came from.. A CP blackfeather is manageable, but still just as strong. Just avoid at all costs.

Who Am I?
Hello everyone! I am spaghetti, the laner of the team Detroit Renegades. I am a Vainglorious Gold laner in the Southeast Asia server and am constantly in the vgpro.gg Worlds Top 10 Leaderboards. Other than having 3 VG Gold accounts in SEA, I also have Vainglorious Silver accounts in North America, and in East Asia. I have also mained the Jungle role as well. I am new to VaingloryFIRE so please give suggestions on improving my formatting!

What can I expect from your Celeste guide?
Celeste has constantly been one of my strongest heroes, and it is well known across Asia. I will try to impart all my knowledge to you in hopes you achieve your desired goal :)

Abilities Top

Celeste's Abilities
  • Julia's Light: This basically makes any of your auto attacks have CP damage embedded into them. Stutter-stepping on Celeste has a short delay to it compared to other heroes so make sure to practice!
  • Heliogenesis: Your bread and butter skill. You will be using Heliogenesis to wreck havoc on the battlefield and your enemies! It has a very short cooldown but it is very important to land them in order to activate the second part of the ability; Supernova. Always max this ability!
  • Core Collapse: Your only Crowd Control ability. It is an aoe stun. Landing this ability at the right time can mean the difference between life or death in a teamfight, especially against assassins. Fill in leftover ability points here.
  • Solar Storm: This is Celeste's ultimate ability. Use this ability following up Supernova for some ultra bursty damage, or use it when an assassin jumps on your face to pretty much regain all your health with Eve of Harvest max this ability second!

Items Top

Eve of Harvest is probably the most important item you could get on Celeste. Its passive crystal lifesteal allows you to sustain off dealing damage on your enemies, which when paired with your immense poking ability basically means you can never die >:) the energy recharge is good for spamming your Heliogenesis as well.

Clockwork is that item that allows you to just keep spamming all your abilities like a keyboard war- I mean tap tap revenge expert. Nothing more needs to be said.

Dragon's Eye allows you to gain crystal power within the course of a teamfight. This essentially means you will be able punish enemies who insist on fighting you.

Broken Myth pierces shield. Enemies will definitely build shield after experiencing your massive damage and this keeps you from hitting like a potato.

Aegis In Vainglory, almost every hero has a Crowd Control ability. The Reflex Block active will help you block crucial stuns or silences. Just remember to use it right! The shield mitigates damage from enemy crystal carries which is important if you want to stay alive long enough to carry the game.

Journey Boots I personally prefer the Journey Boots because it allows you to have an escape available every 12 seconds during a fight which is crucial for escaping a full team trying to lock on to you. If you find yourself running out of energy (which you shouldn't), get the Halcyon Chargers instead.
Situational

Metal Jacket is bought whenever you feel the enemy does not have much CC and instead has two weapon carries or such.

Echo is for the daring. It would be considered a troll item on Celeste especially with no defense, so becareful - only use this item when you are completely confident with your positioning.
The early core items Eve of Harvest and Clockwork are cheap and synergize well with Celeste's kit. If you are able to farm well up to this stage, you may very well have won the game already.

Positioning in Teamfights Top

Okay so I had to create a separate chapter for this because it is probably the most important skill you can learn when you want to win games. I might add some more tips in the future.

Your job as Celeste is to dance around the edges of teamfights - a backline mage. NEVER charge in headfirst into a fight without your roam supporting you. I know you really want to get that low health Vox running away from the fight, but at the same time, you need to protect yourself from the Alpha right in front of you. Always be aware of where you are in a teamfight! Your teammates will love you and you end up winning the game.

If an assassin or anyone at all tries to dive you, try to use your Journey Boots to reposition yourself to the edge of a fight, where you can safely harass and damage the enemy team from a distance. If this is not possible, try to sustain yourself in a fight by using Heliogenesis and Solar Storm.

Summary Top

Celeste is a hero which is easy to learn but has a high learning curve. Practice makes perfect! She can definitely carry you to the highest tiers as long as you use her properly. Please give any feedback for this guide as it is my first guide :3
