Adapting Top

This isn't info solely for using varya but a good overall tip, look at the scoreboard and see what your opps are running and counter it. If they're carry is a grumpjaw runnning weapon power, slap on some armor and apply tension bow to negate his armor stacks, same with any tank wearing armor instead of shields.

Starting off (The lane cleaner) Top

Start off with a storm guard banner to give yourself a nice health bump on top of your already very squichy waifu body, and get that extra hero/structure/ and creature damage bonus that will help you wipe the lane and hoard gold for the first 5 minutes. You night be asking " But if im carrying, shouldn't I just double up my weapon/crystal damage buffs? uwu" well the answer is no because 8/10 times you're going to jump into a lobby with either a trash captain who's going to try and build a crystal power phinn or two morons who are going to double jungle with tanks and damage buffs who will provide you with no assist whatsoever.

Last Hitting and picking targets Top

Okay, so once you get into your ult stage (lvl 6) you should be producing enough crystal power at this stage to be able to successfully fend off some more of the annoying junglers like krul and koshka. If you followed the build you should hab a lebel four stormforged spear, a channel/dash (arc recursion) and your ult, which puts you in a great position because remember that trash captain and your mongoloid jungler? well they're steadily trying to build they're damage buffs and are taking trash heaps of damage so they're gonna need to dash home for a few seconds so if you're accurate and play your turret wisely, you can hold off all three heroes and they're minions by: 1)chaining your basic on their minions, 2)using your channel from the top portion of your turrets range, using one dash to come forward and zap the 1-3 heroes at the edge of your turret's range then the second to dash back to turret, and finally casting your spear at the nearest or lowest health hero in your range. This combination of your A and B is simple but drops a good amount of damage on the entire enemy squad as all of your abilities are able to be chained to nearby enemies and heroes and your channeling B ability grants you the two dashes which each cast a basic chaining attack at the end of each dash and allows you to chuck your spear extra fast.

Now, with varya you can't play super aggro right off the bat, you have to be a sneaky snake for the first 7-8 levels. So, if you're team is in chat coordinate attacks so you can keep your range and smack thots with your spear and basic attacks and then use your channel dashes to chase down and last hit fleeing heroes. The part that's easy to mess up is accurately timing your channel. Varya's B takes a few second to reach it's full charge so you should trigger it as soon as you see the enemy hero starting to dip below half hp as they'll usually be starting to flee.
