Update 1.1 ----- new farming strategy, new item list Top

Game Strategy Top

As a Taka player, you job is to assassin enemy team's ranged hero and finish off the low health hero. This may sounds like steeling other player's kill, but it benefit the whole team. How many time you are watching a low health player running away, and how many time you are watching a low health ranged hero deals massive damage under his teammate's protection. That's where Taka flash in and take the kill. Sometimes your teammate do get the kill, but that will waste tons of time, energy and health.

Also, because X-Retsu can deal huge amount of damage at once, it's very easy for Taka to take the last hit of Kraken or Gold miner.

Skill Combo and Upgrade Top

Taka's Critical Strikes have 30% lifesteal and grant a burst of speed. Every 5 seconds, Taka is guaranteed a critical strike. Taka gains 1 Ki stack when he performs an ability or critical strike (up to 5 stacks). Each stack of ki speeds up his guaranteed critical strikes 0.9 and grants 25% cooldown acceleration.
Taka flips over his target, cutting it with his switchblade. Taka doesn't take damage while in mid-air.
Taka throws a smoke bomb at his feet, vanishing from enemy sight and gaining move speed. This illusion ends early if he strikes a target or he takes direct damage. Turrets, Scout Traps and Flare Guns will see Taka while invisible. When maxed, this ability heals Taka for 1% of his max health per second while invisible.
Taka bursts through his target, carving an X with his switchblades for lethal damage. The target suffers a mortal wound, reducing its healing by 50% and taking damage over the next 4 seconds.

Before level 6, farming is your priority, because you can't deal to much damage. After level 6, when you get X-Retsu, you can use X-Retsu + Kaiten + one or two basic attack + Kaku combo on a half health or low health hero, and it's pretty easy to get a kill then escape.[/h3]

Farming Strategy Top

A lot of people don't like Taka because he is too weak in the early game and unable to farm quickly. I admit the first part, Taka is very weak in the early game, but for farming he is one of the fastest hero in the game. This may sounds ridiculous but it's true and the secret is hiding in his heroic perk.

Basically it says:
1. Every 5 second Taka has a guaranteed Critical Strike.
2. Every Critical gives him 1 Ki stack with a maximum of 5
3. Every Ki reduce the cooldown of his guaranteed Critical Strike 0.9 second
4. Every Ki grants him 25% cooldown acceleration
5. Taka's Critical Strikes have 30% lifesteal and grant a burst of speed

While he has a maximum of 5 stack of Ki and each Ki reduces 0.9 second of his 5 second guaranteed critical strike, it means Taka will have a guaranteed after (5 - 0.9 * 5) 0.5 second and that basically means every basic attack is a critical strike and as long as the Ki stacks are full he will always deal more damage than other hero.

Final conclusion: it will be a really quick pace game play, you need to move fast and keep your Ki stack use when the Ki stacks are nearly burned out.

Strategy for Building Items (will be updated soon) Top

You start with Swift Shooter and Halcyon Potion, they will make your life easier. Then you need to buy Blazing Salvo and Ironguard Contract, and build up Alternating Current ASAP. They will improve your basic attack damage and farming efficiency. After that, you must reached level 6, so you need to buy Shatterglass which will increase X-Retsu's damage and Travel Boots. In late game, you should buy Aftershock, its passive will make your next basic attack after using a skill deal massive damage which is great. Considering that Taka is a massive damage dealer and his escape skill Kaku, he only need one defense item.
For the optional items, you can buy Broken Myth, if your opponents have Fountain of Renewal or Aegis.

Notices for Playing Taka Top

1. If there is no high health tank such as Catherine or if you are the only damage dealer in the team, don't choose Taka
2. Don't try to kill a full health hero, unless he is really weak
3. If your skills aren't ready yet, don't engage a fight
4. Don't start a fight, your job is to finish a kill
