You are expected to struggle when poking or pushing.Its normal.Focus on poking the enemy laner and pressuring him untill he retreats or recall.When the laner recalls,take this chance to push the turret as much as you can while a flare gun in the enemy brush.
Team fights strategis Top
Team fights usually break out in the jungle(duh).When a team fight breaks out,stay at the edge of the battle and NEVER get to a close combat range and fight.Stay where your spitfire can reach the desired enemy hero to you want to burn.
Ardan and Skaarf Top
Ardan and Skaarf make a good pair as ardan can trap the enemy team while you spit fire balls at them and making the enemy tean swallow your spit fires.
