Introduction Top
Hi, my name is Axial (my ingame name tho) and Im a tier 4 silver player that recently played vainglory again because i quitted playing it years ago. I am a Captain main (or support but ill go with support) ever since i started playing vg when the tutorial page wasnt even implemented in the game and that made me a old player. I use Alpha right now to climb the elo ladder because im a filthy elo slave, lul. I made this guide because there was no updated guide to Catherine because she was my first main. And this is my first time making a guide so please leave something for me if i did something good or something bad. Anyways on to the guide

Why catherine? (also explains why Aegis and Metal Jacket) Top
Why catherine? Because, she is a tanky, Cc of a monster that silences her enemies for a long time, unlike ardan or adagio (which are also my main, ill make a guide for them when i have the time), she has her passive that adds 1 armor and shield to her stats that will make her also tanky to begin with. The reason that Aegis and Metal Jscket are core builds because it makes catherine even more tanky than ever. Fountian is a must first tier 3 item for captains / supports. If you dont buy a fountain, then you might be deaf.... And blind.... And autistic... Moving on.
Situational items, why CP? Top
Situational items are items that I rarely buy or when it it s late game. Frost burn is great for fast enemies like koshka. Spellfire is great for healing enemies like krul, rona, saw and any WP carry :). Next is Clockwork, adds more cd and energy. NEVER buy clockwork if you have Halcyon Chargers unless your using War Threads for boots.

Reasons :
Contraption - why contraption you ask? "its the item for supports that is always a first buy" you might be thinking to yourself but its not. Fountain is the most, not contraption. Contraption is only for the late game if your team and the enemies have full build, pick it up as a 5th item or 6th.
Crucible - "not again" you might be asking. But yes, i rarely buy crucible, i only buy it when theres an ardan or cc heroes on the opposite side. If theres a adagio on the enemy team dont buy a crucible UNLESS he is good. Why exactly? Because here the trick, when teamfighting adagio will always heal the hero that is being hit or the first one going in The backline like glaive. But mostly he will focus the first one diving if A.) he doesnt have health or B.) hes setting up for a ultimate. Besides, you have your stun to cancle his ult.Unless you have your A on cooldown, i suggest your run eith war threads.

I didnt put the other items for a reason because i was too lazy. I just update this guide when i have the time or not feeling lazy. Lol.
